Katy Perry is a great new singer on what do you know capitol records. I mean the new capitol group after the virgin merge that doesn't have slater as the head. I got to do an interview with her this past monday over the phone. She's a cool chick. My interview will be featured in my magazine's june issue. Also I did a review on her in Da.mn! Sexy living Magazine. Da.mn sexy radio show is a good show to check out too. But I'll save the promotion of them for mass media. You might have heard Katy's songs I kissed a girl, and ur so gay. Madonna also gave her a shout out on the radio numerous times. You can hear one of the shout outs on katy's myspace.

sorry but i cant respect someone who puts out music like her...maybe because i have children & i think people should be a little more careful about the lyrics they write or sing.i hate that i have to change stations everytime i hear something innappropriate for my kids(which seems very often these days)

Yes I can see why some of the lyrics to ur so gay could be bad for your kids. But I kissed a girl? wow. Not saying you're homophobic but I kissed a girl just says I kissed a girl, and thinking of you is very beautiful. i think its more parts about i hope my boyfriend dont find out....its just seems to send a message that shes not gay just playing around(id prefer if it was an openly gay song) & yes the fact that i have a daughter(13) i am trying to show her that sex is a big deal(not saying ooh its bad) but just not to be taken lightly.it just seems so difficult to shield children these days with whats on tv & radio.but anyway,although KP may be talented Im just voicing my opinion....not trying to offend anyone & I am def not homophobic at all. |

This chick is effing AMAZING! Bought the new cd last Tuesday (woot!) and haven't stopped listening.
Katy has a very powerful, strong, tight, almost flawless voice. If you like LMP, you will like her. I guarantee she is going to BLOW up huge very very soon. Everyone is talking about her. Check her out....you will not be disappointed (don't be turned away by "I Kissed a Girl" and "Ur so Gay," she is MUCH more than that). I did an interview with her for my magazine. It was my first interview with a "big star" so to speak. First signed artist I got on my own. I mean we had signed artists interviewed but not by me and I didn't get them and they were smaller labels.

i heard her and saw some of her video. ...i dont get it. ive heard local songs that youd think ZEPP wrote (lol)...and songs like this sound like tv show theme songs and they are on a music countdown? i hate that...jmho. ....

I love love LOVE Katy Perry right now. She is on fire, and I am loving EVERYTHING about the gal. Too cool, too stylish, too funny, toooooo ROCKING! I'm telling you, people...the singles "Ur So Gay" and "I Kissed a Girl" are practically NOTHING compared to the other songs on the CD. Highly recommended. I still haven't taken it out of my cd player since I bought it 6/17! SHE'S GONNA BE HUGE!
