First off: you can't change your name legally to someone elses to try to better your career... for example there was a football player for the Miami Dolphins back in the 1990s who had his name changed to kareem abdul-jabaar, but was forced to change his name to a different spelling...
Secondly: "Elvis Jr. was awarded his name legally by The Federal US Court after sufficient documents and sworn testimonies were presented to a Judge. These documents including the last will and testament of Elvis Presley, established proof that Elvis did indeed had a son and the son was in fact born out of wedlock. These documents were obtained not by Elvis Jr. but by investigators of the Government of the United States of America. This research included a lie detector test, a blood test with a D.N.A test to follow. Upon deliberation and examination of all evidence incurred a decision that should set the record straight. Elvis Jr., by the decision of the United States Government is allowed to use the name Elvis Aaron Presley Jr." Until any further action is taken to strip Elvis Jr. of his rights to use this name I think you have to believe him... |

Elvis Presley will does NOT state any son born out of wed lock. What it does state that Lisa Marie Presley is his ONLY CHILD in wedlock. I have met this "EP JR" and no i don't believe he is Elvis Presley son. |

I still have the newspaper clipping from this case. He was awarded use of the name Elvis Aron Presley. The middle name was spelled with one "A" rather than two "A`s." And there was no Last Will and Testiment from THE Elvis Presley. No DNA either. If you wish, I can scan and post the entire article. There`s a colorized picture of him at the top of the article. Anyone can change their name, that doesn't make them their child. As for "The Government of American"
that is a joke. There is a last Will signed by Elvis Presley on March 3, 1977. There was a woman last year saying she was Vernon Presley sister and she said she had DNA testing done and that lasted maybe a few days in court in Memphis. And you know what you don't hear about her anymore.  The only child that Elvis Presley had is Lisa Marie Presley with Priscilla. End of story |

I`m sorry I haven`t been back to this section of the forum recently. Just now saw your request. I will go through my scrapbooks and find it. When I find it I`ll scan and post the entire article.
Also, this may be of some help to you; my article is from the Knoxville News Sentinel. We lived in TN at the time and if my memory serves me correctly, this story made the front page. You can look for the story on their website but I`m not 100% positive that will be there. The Knoxville News Sentinel was called something else at that time, the newspaper changed it`s name a few years later. Anyway, I`ll post the article ASAP. This message has been edited.
