Hot off the presses today... Dallas Texas

How can I start this... to say these were Fantastic shows would still be an understatement! Heart never fails to impress and at this point its impossible to pick a "favorite" concert or tour or year or whatever, because ALL of their shows are magical and impressive!

I arrived at the Nokia Live at about 6:30 to get the tickets at will call, the rain had been a concern on the whole trip down from Oklahoma but by the afternoon it was nice and sunny. As I went to sit on the bench(as we couldn't go inside yet) I saw some of my monger friends and I got my hugs again this year(you guys are great & you should see me at home getting all excited when I spot you on TV! lol) They finally open the doors and everyone starts to file in but me and mom lagged behind because I was going to get Ms Tralwinds extra ticket as Mary couldn't make it to this show. She showed up not long after and I got my hug and we went in and found our seats(Thank you fanclub awesome again)!

All the monger seats start to fill up and old and some new friends are all trading stories. I had kallie to my right and we were both so hoping that they might play "Little Queen" as neither one of us had heard that one before live! Everyone is chit chatting and trying to scope out their place at the stage and how we are going to best get to that spot once the Bubble Puppy starts ta rockin! Sure enough right mid sentence lights go down mongers jump up scramble to their chosen spot and plant feet firm!

The room is dark as night and we start to hear these loud crashing ocean waves as we are about to sail out on our voyage with... then the spot comes on and Nancy is on stage and starting the beautiful first chords to Mistral Wind(the signature Martin sounds soooo good ahhhh)!! OMFGGGGGGG!!!!! This is going to be a good night!! The crowd is just ROARING... but then the crowd almost bring it down to a hush so as to hear all of this! Then the spot comes on center stage and there she is!! The Queen of Rock & Roll Thank you VERY much, and she starts the soft vocal with the crowd still very much in a hush(with occasional shout outs) then as the song builds and she goes into "I'VE ALWAYS HELD THE WHEEL BUT I LET THE WIND STEAL MY POWER..." the crowd just absolutly cuts loose with the band, and my knees are turning to noodles! MISTRAL! MISTRAL!! MISTRAL!!! ahhhhhh.... and I mean to tell you Ann and Nancy were all over that stage Nance was doing her bows with her guitar and Ann just perfection! Please God, someone invent a way to record what you see with your eyes!

Yea... I think that song went over pretty good with the mongers!<----Understatement of the year there!

Ok I'm in the magic space all though me now... and this starts to turn to a blur, but they did Magic Man next then... it was Little Queen! That got everyones noggin a bobbin and I turned and found kalli in the crowd and we gave each other an approving nod!

I guess at this point I will tell you what they were wearing Nancy had on her black dress with the dangly sparklies over her jeans(so cute) Ann had on that beautiful black dress with purple lining(like she wore on Rock Honors) over black slacks and she had on her silver comphy shoes! They both always look so adorable!

The songs keep coming one after the other and this crowd is going nuts all the way up into the balcony! Bebe le Strange(with a nice introduction by Nancy telling the origin of the song), Straight On, Love Alive, You Wreck Me, Dog & Butterfly, These Dreams, Alone, my personal favorite at the moment(ok who am i kidding i love them all)but LOVE Reign O'er Me! Barracuda, Crazy On You(i think that was the order) Then the encores of Black Dog & Misty Mt Hop then the final encore of Dreamboat Annie! Sadly now its all about to come to an end when Nancy walks over to Ann and gives her a hug and a little kiss! Then we hear the Gone With the Wind music playing as they walk from the stage, and give us their final goodbye waves! PERFECT!

...and I'm SPENT! I've got to find a seat to rest for a min!

...also about half way through the concert I notice on Bens drum riser they have a poster of the famous picture of Elvis shaking President Nixons hand at the White House and the poster says "ELVIS for PRESIDENT in 1976"... I start shouting "Elvis for PRESIDENT!!!" ...and the mongers around me sorta give me a funny look! LOLOL

The house lights are up now and everyone is trying to collect themselves and saying their goodbyes untill next time & working our way to the exits.

OKLAHOMA CITY! / Love Reign on Me... all over me!

I get to OKC and get settled into my room, was just a clear day driving in beautifull sky! Turn on the tele when I get to my room and they start having all of these thunderstorm warnings for the area I am in... and the clouds start to form over me and the skys turning BLACK(this is going to be an outdoor show)!!

I decide to skedattle on down to the ZOO Amp and get my butt in place so I at least don't have to drive in this mess! Sure enough about the time I get there and get parked about 5:30 the sky opens up and its piss pouring rain with thunder and lightening striking(right close to where the stage area is!)... I wait in my car untill about 6:15 to go in(show is supposed to start at 7:30), it has settled down some at this point but it is still raining pretty steady!

I go to will call and get my M&G packet and instructions. I'm to meet Motley Sue on the VIP deck aftert 38 Specials set and she will take us back!! Starting to get nervous here!! I go inside the venue the sky is opening up harder AGAIN! I'm thinking "NO PLEASE STOP... another day GOD PLEASE!" Praying the whole time for it to stop! I make my way down that hill in the rain to my seat thankfully the front row had a covering over it and so I wasn't sitting in the rain!

I go and check out the VIP deck to scope out where the heck I'm supposed to go later, then come back to my seat by this time Gracie and Chewie had made it to their seats right next to me(Gracie had fell going down the hill) Motley Sue saw her fall and brought her a towl so she could get the mud off Thank God she was alright though! After we all grump a little while about the rain and getting down that hill(everyone had to get that out of our system! lol)... me and Chewie start making our plans!

At about 7:30ish... the SUNSHINE starts to peek through the coulds! YEAAAA! They tell us 38 Special will be on shortly, and sure enought about 8 they hit the stage! I really enjoyed them they sounded great and still had alot of energy(but I'm there for the main attraction!) About 30 minutes into their set I can't take it no more and tell Chewie I'm headed back to the VIP deck and he tells me he is right behind me! I get back there and find a bench next to the gate and Chewie soon follows. We are both very excited and chatting and keeping each other calm. About 8:45 Motley shows up and gives us the drill as all 5 winners are present now! She tells us she will come get us at 9:05 as Ann & Nancy are meeting with the mayor and 17 radio winners!! I told her I hope he declared this HEART day in Oklahoma City... and she agreed and laughed! Also I got my Motley hug from her!! I didn't see her at all the night before in Dallas.

OK... 9 oclock and here comes Sue! She takes us backstage area and there is a little building back there with french doors on the front. The mayor is meeting with them but they had to cancle the radio winners because it was too many people back there to walk down this slope that was kinda wet and slippery, but the fan club was def getting in and we are the only group to get a picture with them! We have a real nice chat with Sue outside and she is keeping us calm and being very sweet(she also told us that they did in fact almost have to cancle this show because of the thunderstorms), & I'm as quiet as a mouse at this point!! LOL ...and trying to collect my thoughts because I know this is going to have to be quick.

OK... here we go!! It's our turn and Motley takes us through the french doors! Ann and Nancy come strolling out of a doorway!!! OMG I'm dying! They LOOK SOOOO GEORGOUS(Ann has on a beautifull black velvet top)!! I'm just praying that I will be able to SPEAK! Motley introduces me to them and I shake Nancys hand! I tell them both that it is a "Pleasure & an Honor for me to meet them".... ahhhhh I'm freakin out inside! Then I lock EYES with Ann her eyes get real big and all I can get out of my mouth is "your just the greatest... just the greatest", I keep hearing my self repeat this! She keeps saying "Oh Thank You" I had them sign my mini Dreamboat Annie cd reproduction and asked if they would personalise it for me! Nancy goes "was it Jeff?"... and I'm like "yes". Then I stood between them and said "Thank you for your beautifull music & your beautifull spirits, and you have always made me proud to be a Heart fan!"... Nancy was like "Oh, we try!" lol ahhhhhh now I move down and everyone else gets to meet them and I can breath once again! Sue tells us to line up and we'll take our picture! Then Ann & Nancy come and walk over and stand right in front of me! Ann is to my left and Nancy is on my right and I'm right in the middle behind them! I'm freaking OUT inside! I can't wait to see that picture! Snapshots are taken and we have to say our quick goodbyes... as I'm walking out Ann is standing there and I lean over and say, "This crowd is going to go NUTS when you do 'Love Reign O'er Me' after today"! She nods her head at me and gives this knowing chuckle!

Sue takes us out and we Thank her so very much, and she says we did GREAT!

...and then the Love Reigned on Oklahoma....... Awesome

The show was very charged up, and Heart was just amazed with and appreciative to the crowd for staying in the rain and mud! At one point Ann said "thank you for allowing us to do this still, the way we want to do it"! It was a freaking awesome show and the sound was PERFECT! I love how they come on stage with the sound of ocean waves this year then Nancy starts in Mistral Wind! JUST PERFECT! They were sooo charged up, Barracuda absolutly KILLED they had strobe ligts going like crazy during this performance of that song, that was one of my favorite versions ever of that song! They were just KILLIN it and the crowd was going wild again just like last night in Dallas!

I also wanted to add here how AWESOME it was to share the evening with Gracie and Chewie! Two of my favorite mongers ever! We had a freaking blast!! I just had to tell Gracie "Welcome to Oklahoma!" when we were sitting in the rain! You guys rock!

omgosh ive been watching their concert on satelite ...sorry ...i have no idea what channel ..but THEY ROCK. ... * i LOVE how MISS NANCY plays guitar. ...they played "Good Bye Blue Sky~ FLOYD ..and a few ZEPP songs. ...GREAT TV CONCERT. ...theyve been re-playing it all week end...ill try to get back to ya on the channel ...*

Yea! I've seen the satellite concert too!! Its freaking awesome... I could have gone to that taping in LA, if I would have had the time or money. They are AWESOME people and perfomers!!! I've been a fan going on 30 years, love them!
