Clapton is set to go on tour. Derek Trucks will be playing in his band. Derek is the nephew of Butch Trucks, one of the drummers for The Allman Brothers Band. ( They have 2, 3 if you count the guy on percussion.) Derek has done the impossible. He has almost replaced Duane Allman. Duane's death was such a tragedy. He practically invented slide for rock guitar. He could wail like Hendrix, but at the same time his playing would be so beautiful. Derek has been playing professionally since he was 11. The thing about these guys is it's all about the music. No stage antics needed. The music is so strong. It's like going to church. I realize peeps have different tastes, and music should be fun, but it is an art. And, for me, all the BS, degrades that art.
Also, wherever you are, go out and support your local musicians. There are great musicians playing near you, struggling to make a living. Forget the DJ's and programmed music.

I hear you, Quinn - I love peeps that play/sing live, and there sure are some great musicians out there that are struggling...they do that not for showing off their clothes or a show, lol..just good music. I really am not a too big fan of programmed stuff either.

i just saw this quinn. ...hey i partied w/ warren haynes one night and that crowd is good ole country boys! very nice to me and my boyfriend. ...we were nice to them though LOL...anyway ....

but Quinn im 36 ...and im a girl ...and in the 80s i turned 16 and jammed heavy metal after i got sick of classic rock lol now im lovin both and its great. ...and Sebastain and the rockers (no glam) in the 80s to me was fun as hell ...the Crue n sht. ...saw the Crue w/ make up on ...first tour w/ OZZY ...bark at the moon tour i think...outside and the moon was full that nite ..it was so fun ....

i dont like supergroup because Ted bugs me sometimes.... but i love sebastian.... especially his stint on gilmore girls.. lol
