The demand for tickets to The Police reunion tour has been quite impressive thus far, as the first round of shows went on sale and sold out right away. On Saturday, the band sold out two dates in Toronto as well as shows in Montreal and the tour opener in Vancouver. Second shows in Montreal (July 26) and Vancouver (May 30) were added.

This morning, the band's two nights at Madison Square Garden sold out within minutes, so an additional New York area show was announced that should accommodate many more fans: Giants Stadium on August 5. Two nights at Fenway Park in Boston (July 28-29) sold out immediately as well. Billboard reports that more stadium dates will be officially announced soon, at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on June 23 and Oakland's McAfee Stadium on June 13.

Tour producer Arthur Fogel told Billboard the ticket sales were "pretty d.amn hot," adding, "We knew it was strong, but it's always nice to see it unfold in reality. I'm ecstatic."
