NEW YORK, Jan. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- After ruling the Top Ten throughout the 2005 holiday season, recordings from the RCA Music Group artists continue to dominate the uppermost reaches of the Billboard SoundScan chart in first month of the New Year. Kelly Clarkson's "Breakaway" (RCA), thirteen months after its initial release, bounces back to #8. The RCA Music Group's hot streak began during the week before Christmas 2005 as "American Idol" graduates placed three albums in the Top Ten. Carrie Underwood moved from #5 to #2 with her now double platinum "Some Hearts" (released 11/15/05); Kelly Clarkson rose to #8 with her 5X platinum RCA album "Breakaway" (released 11/30/04 This is so awesome and I’m so proud of Kelly. She deserves this and I’m glad that her new album has went 5X Platinum. It’s been out a little over a year and has never been out of the top twenty album sales. YOU GO KELLY!!! Kelly’s newest single is “Walk Away” and the video will be released sometime at the end of this month. |

She is good! I saw her in concert earlier this year and she really rocked!! It was all about the music, no gimmicks, very cool! She is the real deal!

I saw Kelly in concert last summer also and it is true, she's all about the music. She reminds me a lot of Lisa in that way, and also that they can both write really well.

she kinda reminds me of Lisa ...ive seen her vid and everytime at first i think its Lisa by her look lol...then i get bummed when its Kelly ...but shes cool. ...where is Lisa's video's ?????

I love kelly, and I think she's easily the best American Idol thus far. She reminds me of Lisa in the way that she's trying to breakaway from an image too. Lisa has her dad, and Kelly has American Idol. Think about it... After her first record I was very weary of if Kelly would make it. It was too much bubble gum pop and miss hit ballads for me. Don't get me wrong. I love Kelly; however, I really didn't think her first record was that good. Now, with "Breakaway" I was blown away. I love every song on the album and it really gives me confidence that Kelly Clarkson is here to stay.
I can't wait for her thrid album, which is due out sometime this year. I know it's going to be freaking awsome! |
