I have just been listening to the new Evanescence album for the very first time. I am actually very dissapointed with it, it just sounds like an over-produced mess. It's also extremly boring, every song just screams ''WE ARE DESPERETE TO FOLLOW UP OUR FIRST ALBUM!!!'' and sadly, they have failed in my opinion. I love ''Call Me When You're Sober'' so I thought the album was going to be great. Apart from the first single, the only song I like is ''Cloud Nine''. I have really tried to like it because I was such a huge fan of their first album but I just don't. Then again, when I listened to ''To Whom It May Concern'' for the first time I didn't like it either, but now it's my all time favorite album so the Evanescence one still might grow on me.

And how have you heard this album? It isn't released until October 3.

It leaked like most albums do before its release date...

yeah i dunno what to say. it's really good, but i was just expecting a lot better since they worked on it for so long.

That's the beauty of music/the experience of music as a whole: What someone else doesn't like, someone else will.

I personally love the HELL out of this record. I think its EPIC. I feel like I'm transported to another world when I listen to it. Its got that "other-wordly" vibe. Lyrically, its very deep. I personally, love every song and this record (for me) is one of the best albums to come out this year.
