Gwen Stefani, Ludacris, The Fray and Mary J. Blige have been added to the list of performers for the 2006 Billboard Music Awards, which air live on Fox on December 4. They join previously announced performers Janet Jackson, Fergie and The Killers.

The nominees for this year's awards will be unveiled on November 27. However, it is known that Tony Bennett will receive the Century Award honoring his vast body of work.

Others set to make appearances at the Las Vegas awards show are Bowling For Soup, Carrie Underwood, Carmen Electra, Dave Navarro, Flavor Flav, Three 6 Mafia, Vanessa Minnillo, the cast of High School Musical, Celine Dion, Rihanna, Chris Brown and American Idol alums Katharine McPhee and Chris Daughtry. The host of the show has yet to be announced, and the whole event will go down at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

I guess it's the season for award's shows! I always watch them, lol. Carrie had a huge year and I imagine stands to win a few awards, that's cool! I am curious to hear what kinda music Chris comes out with.Thanx for the heads up Lil!

Thanks lil for posting. My "band" 30 Seconds to Mars is nominated and I am quite happy they are, but to be honest their song The Kill is the only song on their album A Beautiful Lie I hate. But it's their "hit" So I'll support them. I am glad your band Godsmack is nominated too.

I was glad to see Carrie Underwood win, it is a great CD she put together. Thanks JMM for mentioning my band 'GODSMACK', sadly they didnt win though, but thats okay, at least they got nominated! I didnt see whether your band won or not, i only watched bits and pieces of the show.
