Joss Stone will release her third record, Introducing Joss Stone, on March 20 via Virgin Records. Stone describes the album as "truly me. That’s why I’m calling it Introducing Joss Stone. These are my words, and this is who I am as an artist.” On the album, Stone collaborates with producer/songwriter Raphael Saadiq, who also played bass. Introducing Joss Stone also features appearances from rapper Common and Lauryn Hill. Stone will play sold out gigs in Los Angeles and New York in the coming weeks to preview her new material.

Oh man that sounds awesome. I love Joss's voice but her last album was kind of boring, jmho. But with her feeling free creatively AND with Lauryn Hill it sounds mucho promising!!!

Soulful British songstress Joss Stone will hit the road in April for a North American tour supporting her new album.
The tour, which begins April 27 in Connecticut, will make special stops at the Jazz & Heritage Festival in New Orleans and the annual Summerstage concert series in New York City's Central Park before wrapping up in Virginia on June 13. It also will mark Stone's first proper tour in nearly three years.
Fans can catch Joss on NBC's Today Show on March 20, the day the album is released, and she also will be the first artist featured on VH1's new series, VH1 Album Autopsy, which will give viewers an in-depth look at the making and launch of the CD.

Singer Stone Says Big Thank You

Soul singer Joss Stone has said a huge thank-you to the hundreds of people who helped and inspired her on her latest album - in a 7,000-word document.

Stone re-directs fans from the album sleeve - where credits are usually listed - to her website, where the thank-you note runs to 12 A4 pages.

Included in the credits are Lauryn Hill, James Brown, Vinnie Jones, Lemar, her parents, pet dogs and God.

Stone's third album, Introducing Joss Stone, was released on Monday.

The 19-year-old, who grew up in Devon, describes making the album as "a true growing experience... in the last four, almost five years, I had no choice but to grow maybe 20 years in that time."

Her career took off when she won a BBC talent show at the age of 14.

She then came to the attention of US record executive Steve Greenberg and her debut album, The Soul Sessions, went on to sell half a million copies in the US alone.
