This comment comes from an article in a recent issue of Marie Claire Magazine. I thought these two women were close. It's a bummer Linda feels this way. I personally love "I'm Not Dead"...it's an amazing cd. And Pink DOES point the finger at herself...all the time! Thats what makes her so amazing, is that she never excludes herself from the hypocricy. She has a sarcastic, twisted view on so many things, yet, she never puts herself above them. I think people get turned off by her, simply because they don't understand her humor. People see what they want to see...and usually never stick around for the explaination. It's like criticizing the end of a story, without reading all the chapters. Anyway, thought I'd share.

Pink's music is FAR from bad or stupid. She is a fearless, talented young woman who gives men and women of all ages a lot of pleasure with her music, concerts, videos and appearances. Perry should be kissing Pink's

Pink is wise beyond her years and might agree to work with LP, but there are a lot of fences to mend. This isn't the first time Perry has dissed Pink in the media. She also made fun of Pink's songs dealing with childhood pain. Maybe LP just needs some therapy to deal with her own issues?! At any rate, it's best to engage the brain before opening the mouth, specially when there's a mic in front of you.

wthell is her problem? i never heard of her until LISA. ...who is she? lol....im mean dam what is SHE doin? .. i know she helped LISA and P!NK ...but then to cut something down that i think is a more complicated album from P!NK? whatever ...that comment just made me a little ticked off for some reason ...
plus i never really paid attention to P!NK until the forum posts and then i saw her LIVE on some weird music channel recently and it was GREAT. more than GREAT. ..and i usually dont like her type of music...

Actually she worked with Christina Aguilera before Pink. She had a "career" with Christina and if it weren't for Christina other artists probably wouldn't work with her. Pink came after Aguilera. but still definitely shouldn't be so rude about Pink. and oops quoted the wrong quote from you. Too Lazy to fix it.

Jac, yes of course you're right, LP had a career before Pink — writing, singing, touring, etc. She was respected in the industry but seven years ago she wasn't a household name.

Although Perry wrote "Cruz" and "Beautiful" in 2001, she didn't hook up with Xtina until after that. She co-wrote and co-produced most of the tracks on Pink's Missundaztood, released on November 20, 2001.

Stripped was released on Oct. 29, 2002.

Here's what Pery said in an interview:
"What did you first think when Pink asked you to work on her album?"

"I thought she was nuts to call me up, and I thought that she was calling the wrong person. I'd never heard of her before. So when I called her back, I asked her if she was sure she's got the right number and whether she knew I wasn't hip whatsoever. She was like, "Yes, I've got the right number. I've been looking for you for a long time. And I love that you're not hip and that's why I'm calling you."

I had been doing these rehearsals because I was gonna do a showcase for all these labels. I had written songs that I was really proud of. "Beautiful" was one of them -- it was gonna be my comeback song.

So on one hand, here are the labels waiting for me to show up to do the showcase. And on the other hand, here's this girl who asked me to either write a song with her or sing on her album. I called up my manager and said, "Cancel the showcase. I'm gonna go investigate this girl." There's something here. I have a gut feeling. That gut feeling put me where I am right now."

Her work with Christina came later, when Christina picked up her songs Cruz and Beautiful.

Hopefully they'll work something out somewhere down the road. I love Pink's voice, and her music amazes me in EVERY form. I love love LOVE her first cd.
