Surprise! Courtney Love is releasing her autobiography this fall. The 288-page Dirty Blonde: The Diaries Of Courtney Love was written as an "impromptu memoir" according to MTV.com, which got a sneak peek at four pages of the book. Far from a traditional biography, Dirty Blonde is a mix of letters, poems, journal entries, song lyrics, fliers from concerts, zines and pictures.

According to MTV.com, the four pages included a 1976 rejection letter from The New Mickey Mouse Club, which Love applied to under the name "Coco Rodriguez," and a school report from 1979 stating that Love "refused to be reasonable" and "became louder and more insistent."

Love writes alongside the various items that she is "a public figure unhappy with my share of the American dream. There can only be one reason for this. I am on drugs, and have the morals and mentality of a cartoon character. What did I want after all??" She also writes extensively about her late husband Kurt Cobain, reminiscing about their time together both good and bad. Of Cobain's March 2004 overdose in Rome, she writes, "Rome was a huge cover-up. I see it now. I just didn't want to see it then. Last night, I re-read the note he left in Rome. It's so obviously a suicide note, so f---ing obvious."

"Here is a unique visual look into a world that is never captured," says Love's literary agent David Vigliano. "It's a one-of-a-kind memoir of an extraordinary life lived by a unique artist." She is expected to do a book tour in selected major cities after its November release. Love has also been working on her next solo record, a follow-up to 2004's America's Sweetheart.

great name. well i hope that means she is quiet enough to write. ....and maybe now she can deal with all of it. ...its the easy part when you stop using...the hard part is to stay sober and really know the difference. ...

I am not a huge fan, but I am not against her either. I like some of her music, and I think when has it all together she can be very intelligent. This book seems quite interesting. I think I'll buy a copy. That part about Rome and the after thought of his letter is so sad.

i never stopped to realize that she probably has been in shock this whole time...and i hope to God that she really writes alot and stays away from the partyin and finally deals w/ her sht. ...basically (lol) ...* ill get a copy. ...(((hugs LOVE)))

in the book courtney love - the real story it says that courtney continued to use drugs after kurt's death so that she wouldn't have to deal with it or feel the pain....
