Two of the biggest Southern Rock bands in the history of this country will be heading out on the road together for the first time ever this summer. Lynyrd Skynyrd & 3 Doors Down will co-headline the 15 city "Double Trouble Summer Tour."
Lynyrd Skynyrd lead singer Johnny Van Zant commented, "We've been trying to go on the road with these guys for a while. We've done a few events together, but our schedules haven't worked out before now. We're excited about these shows. It's going to be a high energy, old school meets new school Southern Rock concert you don't want to miss." Gary Rossington adds, "We're going to double the pleasure, double the fun and double the trouble on this tour!"



"It's going to be an honor to share the same stage with these guys every night," 3 Doors Down lead singer Brad Arnold said. "Like so many others, I grew up listening to Lynyrd Skynyrd. We've been friends with the guys for years, so it's going to be great to finally get to tour together."

i have seen both in the past , but never at the same time ...3 downs down sounds GREAT LIVE AND SO DOES SKYNARD. ....3 doors down are good ole guys ...and they are a hell of an Arena band. ...as well as LS.
3 doors down writes GREAT love songs. ...

I know, I thought that too! I hope they put out more concert dates...

No, there are only 2 original members in the band now the keyboard player(whos name escapes me at the moment) & Gary Rosington on guitar... the orignal drummer is still living but he does not get along with the band so he is not with them... everyone else has died.

3 doors down usually plays by theirself. ...or has an opening act....and i think its so neat when 2 established bands tour. ...

love to listen to some Skynyrd! (especially, when it’s the real members playin', sadly you can only hear them on CD or whatever)

ya know, I've never thought of 3 Doors Down as being a Southern Rock band.. should be a cool show though.

skynard and hank jr are here today i think ....saw alot of tour buses yest....its the "rowdy friends tour" ....but i had a very tiring weekend so im not going but its like 80 degrees here today ....great for a motorcycle ride.. ....
