After a year and a half, Nelly Furtado, is ready to release her third studio album. Entitled Loose, her album is set to hit stores on May 23. Furtado has collaborated with artists such as Pharrell Williams, Coldplay's Chris Martin and producer Nellee Hooper, who has worked with the likes of No Doubt and Madonna.

"It was a very indulgent experience," Furtado told Rolling Stone. "It was actually the most idyllic sort of album-making ever. It's sort of every artist's dream, where you're flown around the world, just kind of having a good time and making music."

The last song on the Loose is track "All Good Things," which features Martin. Furtado said that he almost didn't appear on the album if she didn't run into him during August's MTV Movie Awards.

The pairing up of Furtado and Timbaland created a brand new sound. "We call it 'punk-hop,'" said Furtado. "We were thinking, 'Let's do modern Eurythmics - You're Dave [Stewart] and I'm Annie [Lennox]. Let's make this modern, poppy, spooky music.' And we achieved that on some of the tracks."
