Has anyone heard of these "Rose Hill Drive"? I just saw them open up for The WHO and they are really great! I picked up thier cd at the concert and have been spinning it since. I think they are from Augusta Georgia. Here is a link to Amazon to hear some samples... really the samples on Amazons page don't do the disc justice. I especially like "Showdown", "Cool Cody", & "Man On Fire". They kina sound like a cross between Queens of the Stone Age, RUSH, and a bit of Zep.
The WHO concert was really REALLY cool! They even did a tribute song for Elvis in the show! The song was called(i think) "What a Good Looking Boy"... it was super cool! Up on the big screens they had film of Elvis and his momma and daddy, also the day he married Priscilla & and photos of Elvis in the service. Roger Daltrey talked about how Elvis was his hero and how he was such an inspiration to them! anyhoooo FANTASTIC concert all around! The WHO played all there big hits and did a encore of songs from their rock opera "Tommy"! Zak Starskey(sp) is the drummer for the WHO now, he is Ringo Stars son!
The WHO is doing this really cool thing where you can go online and purchace the show you attended on DVD or CD... or both if you want... heck you can buy the whole tour if you want to! I'm def gonna order the DVD of the show I attened! I wasn't sure what to think of the WHO since it is only 2 original members now, but I am really glad I went they had a great stage production and their band was really tight. I like The Who. Never was a huge fan, but I like them a lot better now. Never heard of that other band. Man, there's a lot I haven't heard of. |

The song about Elvis is called "Real Good Looking Boy" and its very good! I LOVE the Who!
