So I went to AOL to see what they were saying about our girl...and I stumbled upon the Scarlett Johansson Sessions. I remember reading a while back she was getting into music. I think I was expecting it to be pop music. This is anything but pop. I love the song "Falling Down"! I haven't listened to all the songs yet, but I do like her voice. It's husky. I'm curious what others think!

Dudes I bought the cd at Target for $9.99! No way I have an opinion yet..only started listening. A few songs I totally love and some are like wtf? Anyway, it's different...and that in itself is cool to me!! I will say that I think it is cool that she did not do a sell out cd!

Yep Syd, I think all but one song is by Tom Waits. It's a peculiar cd. I like 4 songs alot, not crazy about alot of the others. I like her voice on the ones she sings..alot of the songs are drowned out by the music.

I LOVE SCARLETT. I LOVE ALL THE SONGS ON HER ALBUM. I THINK SHE SINGS BEAUTIFULLY AND I WON'T GET INTO THOSE THAT DON'T LIKE HER VOICE LOL. I MIGHT END UP MEAN.  I just listened and I dont think its horrible. At least she picked an awesome artist and songs to cover...Kudos there. She isnt doing it for the cash that I can tell...Having fun with it and if I had the dough I would have several awful vids :0 I think with some better direction she can go places...There arent many chicks out there with that raspy voice..And I like it...She kinda sounds like a young Joan Armitradin sp K, going to listen more...Jac dont have a heart attack hehe. |

haha I won't lol. I am chilled now. Just her voice and singing is my new obsession AND a lot of people think Lisa Marie Presley "can't sing" because of the same reason. Someone once said that scarlett sang like a man and well guess what my sister said Lisa sang like a man. She sounds good if you ask me. I don`t actualy think I`m gonna listen to her music, but I`m glad she`s not singing pop stuff. Anyway, music is just not in good position today, especially rock music. Wtf I`m talking!? Media promote only Rap, pop and R&B music. It seems like everything`s about making money. But I`m quite off the subject now. Anyway, as the most famous singer in my country( who sold over 20 million records) said: Music is not like 100-meters run, it`s an emotion.
