Kid Rock's next album, tentatively called Rock & Roll Jesus, is due on October 9, and this time around, Kid says there is way more Rock than Rap involved. The album will contain metal-influenced songs like first single, "So Hot," and rootsy, Gospel-hued fare like "Amen" and "When You Love Someone," according to Billboard.com. There is also a Motown-influenced song called "Roll On," a power ballad called "Miss Understood," and the Crescent City-flavored "New Orleans." The album ends with "Half Your Age," a Country-fried kissoff to ex-wife Pamela Anderson.

"I think people expect it," Rock told Billboard about taking a dig at Anderson. "It'd be stupid to pretend that it didn't happen and not say anything."

Rock will be dedicating the album to late Atlantic Records co-founder Ahmet Ertegun. He also said that he hopes the effect of the music is "like going to church drunk on Saturday night. It defines America; if you just had to play one American rock album for somebody, this would be it."

My sister is a big Kid Rock fan! I like alot of his stuff..I much preferr when he sings , rather than rapping! This cd sounds good! Thanx Lil!!

I prefer his Rock stuff too, sounds like this is a good mix of styles..

Kid Rock eyes Intimate Tour

As the new single "So Hott" is all over the radio, Kid Rock's new album, Rock N Roll Jesus, will finally be in stores on October 9. Recorded at his Clarkston Chophouse studio in Clarkston, MI, the album was produced by Kid Rock and Rob Cavallo, and sees the singer/Rapper backed by his long-time Twisted Brown Trucker Band with additional vocals from the Fisk Jubilee Singers. The release will be heralded with a series of intimate concerts in smaller venues, and confirmed cities include:

Cincinnati, New York, Toronto, Nashville, Miami, Atlanta, San Francisco, Vancouver, Denver, Milwaukee and Chicago.
