That's so cool. Please post us a review, thanks Smiler I've liked his music since way back in the days of Achy Breaky.

I had a great time at the Billy Ray concert!! He was at the HOB here in town. Let me start off by saying he is gorgeous!! Very easy on the eyes!! He had a good crowd, and put on an awesome show! He sang for close to two hours! He started off with Stand Still, it was the theme from his old show Doc, its a cool song and a great way to kick off the show. He sang all his old hits, Wher'm I Gonna Live, Could've Been Me, She's Not Crying Anymore, Trail of Tears and Words By Heart. Billy has a great voice and can really belt out a song! He sang some songs from his new cd, including a couple of funny ones, Pain In My Gas, and I Want My Mullet Back, which is a horrible song..lol...but it was fun as h.ell in concert, especially since they were filming for his next video! At least that's what he told us! He dedicated Some Gave All to the troops, it's one of my fave songs, he nailed it. Of course he had to do Achy Breaky Heart..lol..he played guitar on this one, and somone in the audience threw a mullet wig onstage, and he put it on, kinda goofy, but all in good fun! After the concert he stayed on stage and started sigining autographs for people! It was very cool! He signed for 10-15 minutes! I didn't get anything signed, I did try and take some pictures with my cell phone, but they didn't come out. I hate that our HOB is so strict about cameras! Ok that's my "review" RedCedar Big Grin

I do stay home sometimes LJ!! Big Grin

And Lil, you found me out. I am a Concert-holic! Razzer Big Grin Cool

Betsy,
The song "Trail Of Tears", how does that go. I've heard one version by someone else, forgot his name, but I love it and I've been wanting to learn it, me coming from a region that's predominantly native american and everthang and everthang.

It hit me, it was Hal Ketchum that did a song called "Trail Of Tears". I think he wrote it. He's a great singer.

Hey Quinn Smiler
Actually Billy Ray wrote it, if it's the same song you're thinking of. I found the words for you. It has much more of a blue grass feel than most of his songs. It's a great song!

Trail Of Tears
written by Billy Ray Cyrus

Too many broken promises
Too many Trail of Tears
Too many times you were left cold
For oh so many years

Too many times you walked away
And was made to feel ashamed
And though you only tried to give
You were often blamed

How can this world be so dark
So unfair and so untrue
How did the cards of life
Fold right on top of you

God in Heaven, hear my prayer
If you are still above
Send the children hopes and dreams
And lots and lots of love
For this I only ask of you
To conquer all their fears
And let them soar like eagles
Across the Trail of Tears

Thanx Bets. Not the same song. Let me try to find the words to Hal's song. It's really beautiful as well. It's about the actual trail of tears.
Stand by. (sit if you want.)

No more beautiful moons may we spend on our land
In the north, the scarlet council speaks of war
And the long knives have massacred the tribe and burned corn
We're not welcome in our homeland anymore

No more songs of the hunters on the buffalo plains
No more smoke from sacred fires touch these hills
And the numbers of the people grow fewer every mile
And our children will not leave the spirit's ways

There will be a trail of tears
There will be a trail of pain
And Jackson will have the Mississippi and the twenty dollar bill
But for us the trail is all that will remain

On the street to Rapid City
On the road to Wounded Knee
There is whiskey for forgetting everything
But the old ones say there may be time for learning from each other
The way that it had once meant to be

There is still a trail of tears
There is still a trail of pain
Jackson may have the Mississippi and the twenty dollar bill
But for us the trail of tears remain
Jackson may have the Mississippi and the twenty dollar bill
But how long does the trail of tears remain
