well the cloest for me is Ft. Lauderdale 495 miles , 7 1/2 hr drive BUT my sister lives in Port St Lucie, FL which is 2 hrs above Ft. Lauderdale...maybe I can work in a family visit and Van Halen Concert? muahahahahaha



NEW YORK (Billboard) - Van Halen's tour with original lead singer David Lee Roth has been extended into 2008.


The reunion trek -- consisting of Roth, Eddie and Alex Van Halen and Eddie Van Halen's teenage son Wolfgang on bass -- kicked off September 27 in Charlotte, N.C., with 40 dates in place.

Now, five additional shows have been added: Oklahoma City (January 22); Houston (January 28); Omaha, Neb. (February 4); Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. (February 12); and St. Louis (March 30), according to the band's official site.

The current tour is Roth's first with the Van Halen brothers in more than 20 years. Van Halen last toured in 2004 with vocalist Sammy Hagar, grossing nearly $40 million, according to Billboard Boxscore.

Van Halen extends tour into April

After initially announcing a handful of dates for 2008, Van Halen has now announced a full 28-date itinerary for next year. Eddie Van Halen, David Lee Roth, Alex Van Halen and Wolfgang Van Halen will kick off the next leg of the trek with a January 22 performance in Oklahoma City. Dates are currently set through April 7 in Milwaukee. Tickets for the San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, Omaha, New Orleans, Charlottesville, Hershey, and Atlantic City dates will go on sale Saturday, December 1, and East Rutherford and New York will go on sale Monday, December 3. On sale dates for the rest of the tour will be announced shortly and additional concerts are expected to be set.
