Very sad to hear this news. Dan Fogelberg passed Dec 16th at home from prostate cancer.

I had to come out of retirement for this one. This man touched my life for so many years. He wrote and performed some of my favorite songs of all time. He was the kind of performer I so much admire. He had such soul. And he did everything. Wrote great songs, he could burn on guitar, played piano, even did the art for his album covers. This hits me really hard. This is a great loss to the music family.

Saw him twice, great show both times.
Netherlands was an inconic album of my family. We all loved DF's tenor, and the way he orchestrated his music. Same Old Lange Syne is such a classic, my mother (age 76) still loves that one and she asked me to rip it to her computer. His only Live CD is great too, his voice is raspier, but he delivers on every song.

A great musician indeed. I will always be a fan.
