She has a song called die for you on the Fanastic 4 soundtrack. I haven't heard a lot of her songs, but I was just reading her bio and came across a song called I'll pay you to shoot him. The lyrics are like WOW. Another great singer/songwriter. her lyrics are pretty good and the story behind this song makes me actually angry. I hate abuse. Nothing would prepare McCauley for the violent shock that would lead to the autobiographical I'll Pay You To Shoot Him. At a young age, Megan's father had separated from the family, only to return years later. The relationship between father and daughter was not whole, and ultimately throughout the majority of her life it was as though she simply did not have a father at all. Approximately a decade after his exit, McCauley's father rejoined the family. She recalls "Physically having him in my life did not offer the nurturing and emotional support that's naturally there for so many others." Two years after his return, in August 2004 she was witness to a domestic dispute between her parents which turned violent. The argument was brutal, and the altercation turned physical. With adrenalin flowing from witnessing the acts of violence, she turned to the police officers on the scene and stated to them, "I'll pay you to shoot him.' The comment later became the basis of the song with the same name and passionately displays her inability to hold back. She explains, "In writing the song, I am not looking for sympathy, and this is not a tale of devastation or loss. It is a punch back, a lunge against intimidation and raw brutality. It's all part of life experience."

I went to her myspace, listened to all the songs there, and instantly became a fan. She's awesome, and her music totally kicks ***.

However, I couldn't find anything about her debut cd. All I found was a CD song sample on Amazon.com for $12. Do you know anything about when her debut album will be released?

No I don't. I haven't been able to find that information. I guess she checks her myspace herself. She posts her blogs I know. Maybe you could send her a message and ask? or contact whoever on her site.

I took your advice and sent her a message. She did reply back, and said that they didn't have an official release date for the album, but to keep checking her Myspace, and website.

I can't wait to get this album. It's gonna be great!
