I'm mad. lmao. Mad at Billboard.
Ok so get this: Britney sold 290,000 copies of "Blackout" which secured her no. 1 spot on the album charts. Although The Eagles sold 700,000 copies of their new album, they were ineligible to chart on the Billboard Top Albums because their album was only available at Wal-Marts. Well today, out of nowhere, Billboard decides to change the rules, allowing The Eagles to claim the number one spot on the Albums Charts, leaving Britney at no. 2. This would have been britney's 5th consecutive no. 1 studio album. It makes me mad cause "Blackout" is such a good album. And I like the Eagles, too. But I just don't think it's fair for them to change the rules 24 hours before the charts are released. |

That's BS. The Eagles sold that many and didn't even spread their legs.

they are changing the rules all over the place to serve their own purposes.

I like the Eagles but I think the sudden rule change is ****. They all of a sudden did it now when Britney's album was number 1. If they are going to change rules they should do it not a day before an album they like hits.I am not just saying this because Britney was number 1. If anyone else was number 1 I'd think it was bias and wrong as well. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Automatic. Imagine. I believe. Jared Leto could be my father if he had knocked up a girl at age 12! He loves his 45s. |

It is a huge difference. They did needed to be changed, but I find it odd it was changed for a day pratically. There are other albums that sold as much as The Eagles I am sure, but were sold in only one chain store etc. that they probably didn't change the rules for. It seems like they specificially changed the rules for the eagles which is a nice thing I guess, but a bit "unfair" to the former number 1. It isn't really the rule changing that bugs me. It's not even that Britney isn't number 1 now. It's just how the rule change came about. It seems like a bias rule change that is all. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Automatic. Imagine. I believe. Garth Brooks had an exclusive Wal-Mart-Only CD released a couple years ago and he sold over 600,000 in his first week but the rules weren't changed then - so why should they be changed now? Especially 24 hours before the charts are released and on the day the sales are counted. Completely biased against Britney.

Yeah, it's messed up, and now they are saying that a lot of the Eagles albums were counted twice because stores were buying them from Wal-mart and then re-selling them in their own stores.
I think it's quite fishy too that they choose the week that Britney's album came out to change the rules. I suspect that the Eagles management or someone put a lot of pressure on Billboard to change the rules. ----------------------------------- |

Well, f'uck Britney Spears. The only talent she has is spreading her legs.

I don't get where people are saying the Eagles new album is only available at Wal-Mart... In the town where I live, I found "Long Road out of Eden" is several other stores besides Wal-Mart, and they were all about the same price too.
