When Prince releases the highly-anticipated album 3121 on March 21, the purple one will also launch a Willy Wonka-style "purple ticket campaign" A limited number of purple tickets will be placed in copies of the new CD, and those who buy one of the lucky CDs will get to attend An Evening With Prince, which is a private performance at his house in Los Angeles! Digital tickets can also be won via Apple's iTunes Music Store when users purchase the two-track e-single "Black Sweat," which is available now. An e-mail to fans specifies that four winners will be chosen from the iTunes sweepstakes and each winner and guest will fly to Los Angeles for the private show and will receive spending money for a night on the town!

My favorite band 30 seconds to mars did a golden ticket thing....or so they said. Not a single person actually seen one of these golden tickets nor did anyone win. Someone at their forum claimed to have won a Golden ticket, but who knows how much truth is to that. The band itself couldn't even answer any questions on the Golden Ticket thing. They were supposed to be in CDs and you won like back stage passes and stuff. Though that is cool of Prince.
