Madonna will join the Gorillaz on stage at this year's Grammy Awards telecast, kicking off the program. This will be the first time the international superstar and the "virtual group" have collaborated. The performance will feature the Gorillaz in 3-D animated hologram form on stage, similar to their recent "appearance" live at the MTV Europe Awards.

The Gorillaz received four nominations this year for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals, Best Short Form Music Video for "Feel Good Inc.", Best Urban/Alternative Performance for "Dirty Harry", and Record of the Year also for "Feel Good Inc." Madonna is not nominated for any Grammy this year, as her album Confessions On A Dance Floor was released after the Recording Academy's deadline.

Newly announced presenters include Queen Latifah, Common, Michael Buble, Ludacris and actor Matt Dillion. Also, as previously reported, Maroon 5, John Legend, Steven Tyler & Joe Perry along with many others will be performing an all-star tribute to Sly & The Family Stone.

The Grammy Awards will take place on Wednesday, February 8, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on CBS and can also be viewed online at grammy.yahoo.com.
