I think it will come down to Dilana and Lukas.
I have been saying they should pick them both! Kind of a modern day heavier Fleetwood Mac! They will both get record contracts, I have no doubt!

Vocalist usually don't smoke to protect their vocal cords or somethin to that effect, but she's got a "rough" (for lack of a better word) sounding voice (to me anyway)...it could be just the way she sings & smoking may not have anything to do with it...idunno??? She rocks, nontheless! Her voice totally fits what this band needs.

Band sues CBS show over Supernova name

What happens when two Supernovas collide? Lawsuit. A Southern California rock band called Supernova has filed a complaint against Mark Burnett's CBS reality show "Rock Star: Supernova," saying it had the name first.

The complaint, filed June 27 in U.S. District Court, claiming unfair competition and trademark infringement, seeks to bar the show and its participants from using the Supernova name. It is also asks for compensatory and punitive damages.

"Our clients believe they have the superior right on the mark Supernova," the band's attorney, John Mizhir, told The Associated Press Tuesday, adding that the band "has a long-standing common-law trademark right to the mark."

The group first performed under the name Supernova in 1991, according to the lawsuit. The band released several singles and three full-length albums under the name, the lawsuit says.

The CBS show using the name first aired July 5. "Rock Star: Supernova" follows 15 contestants who aspire to become the lead singer of Supernova, a new rock band that includes former Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, former Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke and former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted. The winner will tour with the band and appear on its album.

According to the lawsuit, representatives for Mark Burnett Productions ("Survivor," "The Apprentice") filed seven U.S. trademark applications for the name Supernova and two for "Rock Star: Supernova."

Gary Hecker, an attorney for Mark Burnett Productions, said the company has the legal right to the name.

"The complaint is without merit," he said.

Because the lawsuit has not yet been served, its defendants — Burnett, CBS, Lee, Clarke and Newsted — "do not have an obligation" to answer it, Hecker said.

Personally I don't like the name Supernova at all, too cheesey for me! Can't wait for tonights show tho!

I loved Dilana and Lukas tonight!! Think Patrice might go, even tho I like her. Zayra's original song was decent, but she is not right for this band, but she may have bought herself another week. Not sure.

My family and I missed a big part of RockStar: SuperNova tonight because our power went out. So when the power did come back on we caught it right in the middle of Storm's performance. Can you all tell me what everyone performed up to Storm's performance and how everyone did?

We also can't vote tonight because I've been having trouble with my Java software since yesterday (August 14, 2006) so we cannot acess the RockStar site (which is another long story)

So if you guys can tell me what everyone performed and how they did up to Storm's performance I would really appreciate it!

Not sure if I can remember the order Heather, Lukas sang "Hero" and sat on a stool and played guitar, very cool! Zayra was first(I think) and sang a song she wrote, it was in Spanish, it was very pretty, but not something this band would play, in my opinion. Patrice sang "Message in a Bottle", she was good, but not awesome. Magni sang a David Bowie song, he is always just so, so to me, not gonna go all the way. Ryan was good, can't remember the song. Dave Navaro kept changing his fav performer tonight, first it was Lukas, than Ryan, than Dilana. He said he "hated" Storm. she sang "I Will Survive", wrong song for this band! Dilana and Lukas were my faves!

Hey V! Betsy did a great job summarizing the show...here's my take on it, in no particular order.

Zayra did an original in spanish, which I thought turned out to be a beautiful song, but def not for Supernova. Gotta give her props for stepping up & wanting to do the original when everyone else besides Ryan just wanted to do the song w/ Gilby.

Toby was the lucky one who got to do "solsbury hill" w/ Gilby, that is, after running around the pool butt naked!!! I thought he did a good job! Vocals were right on the money.

Storm did "I will survive" & it was horrible! Nobody liked it. Tommy said he wanted his money back!!! Storm said the "F" word during her performance, which did not get bleeped out!!!! rof

Ryan did "in the air tonight" which was right up his alley! Gave Dave chill bumps again.

Lukas did "hero" while sitting in a chair like Betsy std...Tommy didn't like that he sat though...Jason was on him a little bout closing his vocals again too, but I thought his vocals were great.

Patrice's "message in a bottle" was not for me. I like her though; she always wins me back somehow.

Magni's version of "starman" was very good. He had a suit on, looking sharp.

Dilana's version of "cats in the cradle" was good as usual. She’s very consistent.

At the end of tonight's show, I think Toby, Patrice, & Zayara were in the bottom three...who do yall think will go home next???
