I find this so sad....I think she should save these things for his daughter....just don't understand this at all. I thought she was getting her act together....is she this hard up for money???????????????

Courtney Love, widow of Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain, says she plans to sell most of his belongings.

"I'm going to have a Christie's auction," Love, 42, tells AOL music Web site Spinner.com. "(My house) is like a mausoleum."

Love and Cobain wed in 1992 and had a daughter, Frances Bean, that year. Cobain committed suicide in 1994.

"My daughter doesn't need to inherit a giant ... bag full of flannel ... shirts," says Love, former frontwoman of the rock band Hole. "A sweater, a guitar and the lyrics to `(Smells Like) Teen Spirit' — that's what my daughter gets. And the rest of it we'll just ... sell."

No date has been set for the auction, AOL publicist Kurt Patat told The Associated Press on Monday.

Love, whose upcoming album is titled, "Nobody's Daughter," says friends support the idea.

"Everyone's been positive and behind me on it," she says. "We'll make a lot of money and give a bunch of it to charity."

She'll have a chance to move on from Cobain, too.

"I still wear his pajamas to bed. How am I ever going to go form another relationship in my lifetime wearing Kurt's pajamas?"

i have never known my position on this situation of her until i heard this....
because i dont even remember my parents together and physical momentums from that time is VERY IMPORTANT to me. i.e. wedding pics, just anything from that time pictures .....yes i have a few wedding bands that are not mine lol...but thats another story my dad would have to explain ...im sure Courtney has some really special things to give her daughter from Kurt .....when she is older......and Courtney needs to heal from Kurts death. ....i wouldnt want the flannels around either. ...and if she is still wearing his clothes ....she does need to sell some of the stuff so she can move on. ...you all know she has been suffering from his suicide for what 15? years ....

I think that it is very sad. I didn't get a chance to get anything that my father left me because his B ITCH girlfriend sold everything she could then trashed the rest. I would of loved to have all the pics and some other family things.

(DADS GIRLFRIEND) EVERYTHING DOWN TO THE FRICKEN 20 YR OLD PLANTS OUTTA MY DADS HOUSE WITHOUT ME KNOWING! THEN MOVED MY DAD AND HER TO FLORIDA....THERE IS NO PICS OF ME OR MY FAMILY PAST ANYWHERE. i think she should ask her daughter what she wants before selling off everything.
but ultimately it is her decision and it will all work out.
maybe she is trying to get past that bump in her life and finaaly heal and move on

i agree more than disagree ...but when you get clean ...off drugs ...you want the "drug culture" around you gone. atleast i did. ...the physical things you know ...like his flannel ..coz we all know the flannel has a past lol...but YES i didnt think of that grumpy she maybe should ask her daughter ..shes atleast 13 yrs old right? ...

Well you know what the say "What goes around comes around" and "you reap what you sew". After she got rid of everything of my dads and our family things her health went down hill last I heard she was very bad off. Things happen for reasons I guess.......LOL
