I want to buy the book Child Bride: Priscilla Beaulieu Presley by Suzane Finstand (or something like that?) I know the book is very controversial. But like every other controversial book, I'm curious about it. What do you guys think? Should I buy it? Have any of you read this book?

The author was sued by Priscilla and a judge found the author guilty of the charges and therefore had to pay Priscilla damages for the claims that were made in the book. Your wasting your money, in MY OPINION. |

I don't blame you for the curiosity...its there.
But to take an example from my experience, I refuse to support authors who gain their 15 minutes of fame by backstabbing a celebrity, so I don't buy the book. However, at a second-hand store, i came across the infamos Michael Edward's book "Priscilla, Elvis and Me" and bought it for a quarter. (thats a whole nother story...this man is one ****ed up ppiece of work! Spends the entire book comparing himself to Elvis, calling down priscilla for her "selfish" independance, and lusting after Lisa.) Sicko. _________________________ I've found a door which lets me out! Thank you for your answers. I made up my mind. I don't think I'm buying this book after all. It must be tabloid garbage. And bowiefan: I know, I read Michael Edwards' book, he is one sick F UCK!!!!!!!!!!!

here is my 2 cents on those particular books.
I have never been interested in reading either of them but apparently it is important to read books that are published because how else would Priscilla know what was in that one book to sue if someone or herself didn't read???? I think what is important when reading different books is to keep an objective opinion. It is THAT persons perspective on the subject matter. Perception of the truth is an interesting subject. I read alot, and you just have to consider the source. |
