I felt this letter was actually very WELL written. And I feel he's got a few good points regarding reunions. As he puts in his letter he's probably gonna get a lot of negative comments but I felt he was VERY polite and respectful on the matter. So I hope he doesn't get any negative comments from it.

Sorry Jac, but I have to make some negative comments! I loved Guns & Roses back in the day! Axl and the group made some amazing music!

I think it is a HUGE honor to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. If he didn't want it he should have declined a long time ago, not 3 days before the ceremony! I don't think anyone expected the band to reunite..but this big refusal at the last minute is just really c.rappy in my opinion! Plus the ceremony is in my hometown Cleveland this year, so I think that makes me even more p.issy! Lol..not that I have tickets!

I did love the Rock Hall's response to Axl's very, very long letter.... "We are sorry Axl will not be able to accept his Induction in person." Short and sweet. The induction will go on without him.

I agree Jac but he has been ripped everywhere. You know until you walk in someone's shoes you don't know how they feel. Also, people shouldn't try to own someone else feelings but we do it anyway. I will always love his music no matter the negativity he receives.

Well Betsy I think he was still considering attending and maybe accepting. As stated in the letter he was debating on it. I felt he decided it was in his own best interest to decline HIS induction and attend. He said in the letter only about himself. Not the rest of GNR.

I watched the awards show last week some time with my sister, and we got all excited when GNR came out to "WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE" (our generation). But then our smiles turned to sorrow when we realized that Axle wasn't there.

However, we both recalled years ago when he appeared on some MTV Awards Show how shot his voice was; he completely lost his voice. So even if he did show up he most likely would've embarrassed himself. So sad. Those were the days. I prefer to remember him in my youth, his as well...
