Elvis' Bible stolen from Tupelo
Please pass this on to your friends Someone slipped in the chapel at Tupelo and stole Elvis' Bible, so please spread the word so if it is put on ebay or anywhere on the net for sell everyone will know it was stolen and maybe report it to the right police...... .. Thank you for posting. Who in the world would steal a Bible that is not right at all no matter if it was Elvis Presley's Bible or just an ordinary person you just don't do that in my opinion. How sad
I have seen that Bible many times. I never knew it was actually his. It was in a case staight ahead when you walked in, if I remember correctly. I have sat in there MANY Many times alone. Not a soul would come in there. I would of thought they had cameras.That cannot have good Karma attatched to stealing that. I hope they find it. I've never been to Tupelo...just Graceland, though I do want to go because I hear it gives u a huge perspective as to how far he'd gone in his life & career. Yes it was his, apparently he'd given much to Janelle thru the years, they were great friends (I adore her poetry and she was sooo great to listen to). They newly remodeled museum there contains all he gave her, etc...I so want to go. I hope so too and that they pay dearly for it, if not on this life then the next. I have been to Tupelo and know of the Bible you mentioned - I must say that even at the time I commented on how open it was and thought it wasn't very secure.

I'm amazed LisaFanUK that they would leave it so open like that...either they didn't know any better (& found out the hard way) or they were very trusting...thinking all Elvis' fans would be respectful...which I do believe they are, I think this is the work of a non fan. I heard that a few years back stuff was missing from Graceland as well, but don't know how true that was.
