Why won't Capital let Lisa promote her stuff in the UK? Its driving me crazy, i wanna see her Live so bad, i've actually started to save so i can go to the states next year, or whenever she tours next!
I don't understand it though, i know ages ago Lisa actually STARTED promotion over here, but then suddenly it all just stopped. She did a performance in the CC club, which i couldnt get into, plus some talk shows. What happened?

Also is there anything the UK fans can do to change this? I mean agreed that seeing as there has been next to no promotion over here, she probably doesn't have a big uk fan base, but i'm sure that the UK elvis fan base would help out. How do we make our voice heard? Is it possible? or just a waste of time?

I'm not really sure what we can do... When Now What was due to be released last april, a number of us UK fans wrote to various TV shows to see if they would try and get Lisa on their shows and some fans have even emailed capital but they said there were no plans to release her album here... all I saw in relation to the album and her music was a short interveiw thing in OK magazine =\ but *shrugs* I'm almost certain that if she had more publicity here for her music she would build up a bigger UK fanbase almost instantly coz I know almost everyone I've played her CD's to, have really liked her stuff and even brought copies of her albums themselves. My friend brought both TWIMC & Now What when we were in the US in the summer and she loves them to death! it just ****s thats not more people know of her music here, coz they're missing out big time!

I know what you mean, on another board i visit some people (from the uk) kept taking the piss out of her "attempting to start a career", this is when i found out they hadnt even heard her stuff! So i linked them to the presley player on the home page of this site, and one of them has actually bought the CD from amazon now!!

I understand you so well chick, I can't see her in my place....
I think I'm her only fan here.... because the lack of promotion in Latinamerica.
I don't know, I have to go to the States too, if I want to see her. She is my idol!!!!

The record company (I think) did not see the $$$ that was projected for LMP albums and therefore do not find it "worth it" to sponsor a tour - anywhere ~ even in the USA.. Lisa paid for the last one herself! (it is all hollywood corporate bull s h i t Capitol-ism ($) guns down art ~ once again!! )

I'm in Canada and had to drive to the states to see her! TRUST ME - It was well worth it and I will do it again if Miss Lisa does not get her fabulous a s s to CANADA!!!

She is not really promoted in Canada either so it is up to her fans to spread the word, harass the radio stations, vote on the internet..etc.. for Lisa's music!!! - LETS GO!!!!!

That is so stupid that it has not been released there! Really I sorta hope Lisa gets out of her contract with Capitol.... they s.uck no doubt. They really have dropped the ball on their promotion for her.... I just hope she can get with a label that is more suited for her. From what I understand they didn't even support her making the second video!

We need a label that wants to get her to the fans that she has already... AND to try to build the fan base even stronger.

I love Natasha Bedingfield, but Lisa is way better. These words sort of got on my nerves but I love the song Unwritten. Anyways Yeah capital s u c k s big time!!!! Someone should tell them how unhappy we all are.

I think they don't realize the talent Lisa has.
They doesn't appreciate WHO she is!!!

now jmo here but i think if lmp was a teenager or just a pretty face with no real talent with barley any clothes on she'd stand a chance of them supporting her.. but thank god she'll Never do that! she's an awesome artist and i guess capital doesn't know how to deal with a real talent! it's their loss. that they can't see what lisa has to offer the music industry and the world! jmo

yeah she needs her own label if shes up to it ...she should call it Capital SvcksRecords or FCapitalRecords (FCRecords lol) ...or lol ....LMFPyoudumFksatCapital lol....alright im off here have a great day everyone ... *
