Try this site and it will answer all your questions. Good Luck!
http://www.dtv.gov/consumercorner.html#faq3 If you get your TV signal from a Cable, Satellite or Fiber-Optic service provider, you are NOT affected, even if you have an analog TV. If you currently receive analog cable service (with no set-top box) you can continue to do so for at least three years after 2/17/2009. |

well make sure it has a digital tuner when you buy your new tv. I guess we all will be up on this in the next year! The main tv in my house is only a few years old and is a flat screen 35" so I am not running to buy another tv just to be able to view it. ggggrrrrrrrrrr. But heck the way they make tv's and appliances today, I will need a new one in a few years if not sooner anyhoots. I can remember my gram's dinosaur color tv set floor model in the early 70's. Hot dog! lol and the tv repair man would come and fix the tubes LOL.

I guess the government cares because when we use the analog signal it somehow interferes with police/fire and emergency communications and frequencies and by going digital and using that signal the analog will be freed up for rescue personel.
Check this link out and it will answer everyones questions and you do not have to buy a new TV to get the digital signal. http://www.dtv.gov/consumercorner.html#faq6 This message has been edited. Last edited by: luckylmp03, |
