After seeing the video on The View of all three of them making fun of that poor guy, cause of his physical features, I think they have reached an all time low. I can't watch grown people rip others to shreds like school children and enjoying it. Paula Abdul always pretends to be Miss Nice Nice, but after the camera caught who she really is, I hope everyone rips her to pieces, stupid beatch.

if you mention of that American Idol or the similar shows..well, this is social crime Junkie..I hate that shows right after I learned what they are after and what they are trying to do people around the globe,because this happens on international basis..I can't understand how people drawn to that cheap, well planned organization to create miserable,image and fame crazy,fake,brainless,materialistic to the maximum and easy to manage young generations..and they're destroying the real arts and artists most of all the human honour,everywhere..last year I was more than sad and mad when I heard about those show's visit to Graceland..I feel the same though I was about tho be crucified here because I told what I really felt about those organizations..anyway, what important is when people will awake and stop to support that terribly dangerous programmes,I'm afraid it will be too late..

I do agree they go to far and are cruel to people, but you cannot rule out the good that has come out of it. If you have seen Any of Jennifer Hudson's interviews, you would see that she is so appreciative of the show. She won the Golden Globe and was recognized from being on the show.

they will never tone it down..because this is their way to teach young people, indignity is the motto of being famous and rich..and how on earth this concept of being an "Idol" can be so cheap..in a tv show, and again in a few seasons, there's a possibility to be an "Idol"??OMG!!that easy?? but yes it can if you think it means to be physically beautiful,young enough and can live without self respect..this must be the new understanding of being an Idol (at least for a while) ..and kids believe this..now that's why I call it a crime..of course one of those victims can have the talent and this is even worse to start it all like that..

I agree to some degree, but the people who the judges make fun of haver done it to themselves, no one made the audition for the show.

I been watching American Idol and saw the view with Rosie and I do think they have gone to far in making fun of some one's looks . I mean the singing is one thing but to put someone down because he or she may look different then that is just cruel .

This problem they are having may end up having real people with real talent not show up in fear of being put down on natural tv .

I mean it's like why would anyone want to go on the show in fear of being laugh at ?
It's hard enough to have the courage to even show up to a place like that but now they have to worry are they going to be put down as a person ?

I felt bad for a few of them and the one girl who was crying and they where laughing is so sad how can you laugh when you just broke there spirit .

This was sooo not cool, they crossed the line. I hope they do not get this nasty in future shows.

PASADENA, Calif. -- Simon Cowell said he was sorry -- sort of -- but he and his American Idol colleagues maintained Saturday that the contest has not turned crueler in its sixth season.

Cowell acknowledged that his description of a male singer might have been off base.

"I take your point," he told a television critic. "It's a singing competition, and why should I call someone a 'bush baby'?"

He credited Idol's appeal to the fact that "we never try to censor this show. There are times, trust me, when I watch it back and I just think, 'God, I wish I hadn't said that. And why do they put it in the show?' But it's something we all sign up to, the good things and the bad things."

Huge audiences tuned in as American Idol returned last week. Tuesday's premiere drew 37.4 million viewers; Wednesday's edition brought in 36.9 million. But some fans decried comments by judges Cowell and Randy Jackson.

Jackson said he and the show haven't changed.

"I think a lot of people have selective listening," he said. "There are nights throughout every season where the Dawg keeps it kind of stirred, letting you know what time it is."

Fox Broadcasting Co. endorsed the judges' methods.

"The judges know what makes the show tick," said Peter Liguori, Fox's president of entertainment. "I think this season is just a continuation of what's been a very successful formula."

Judge Paula Abdul attributed her dazed conduct in oft-repeated interview clips to a technical glitch. Liguori said Abdul was shown at the end of a three-hour interview with Fox affiliates.

"After that amount of time and questions coming from all angles, personally, I would probably be a little slap-happy," Liguori said.

AS LONG AS PEOPLE FEED THIS DIRT BY WATCHING IT,THIS WILL NEVER STOP..FOR GOD'S SAKE WHO NEEDS THOSE TYPE OF SHOWS AND WHY WASTING PRESCIOUS TIME DROPPING OUR LEVELS SO LOW..

i agree they should not make fun of the way someone looks,but lets face it most of these people know before they go on Idol or any shows like them they can not sing.i know i can not sing & therefor would have more sence than to go on their show.My neice on the other hand can sing so i woul tell her to go,if she could not I love her enough to **** well tell her it's not for you.Some of these Idiots are asking for it!
