Here's my views on last night's Golden Globe Awards:

They come each year in a tuxedo and gown
But the words from their mouths just make me frown
If a star is meant to be a guiding light
Then why can't they read a speech that gives us some insight?
Instead they thank their agent, their mother and a friend
The whole world is watching....will these uninspired speeches ever end?
If these "stars" would ever band together to help their fellow man...
Be more like Martin Luther King and take a stand
On his birthday... do they remember his dream...do they care?
There continues to be poverty and greed everywhere
Perhaps they would see the power that fame can bring
If only they would learn how to sing
When they command multi-millions and then give themselves awards to boot
The meaning in their work becomes moot
I hope someday that they will use their forum to inspire the world by what they say and do
And maybe the Golden Globes will bring a golden cause for me and you!

Actually they did mention it was Dr. King's birthday on plenty of ocassions. Even Chris Rock....who said something hilarious. He said: "Today's Martin Luther King's birthday! You guys can relax, you only have to be nice to black people for two more hours!" The Golden Globes represents something big for the actors. And I like them....not everybody agrees on the same things. I love watching Johnny Depp, Denzel Washington, Reese Witherspoon, etc. Even the guy who played Elvis won! Give them a break.

I had to read this,cause the thread title was so weird.Then again Awards weren't the globes I was imagining.Hahh.
