It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year on NBC's "Las Vegas," Airing December 15

Elvis and Vegas for the holidays.

It's Christmas and the Montecito is decked out in holiday décor complete with Ed Deline (James Caan) in a Santa suit. To make the holiday even more special at the Montecito, Elvis is in the building. It is supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year, however things go horribly awry and it may end up being a blue Christmas.

Delinda (Molly Sims) is excited for her very first Christmas with Danny (Josh Duhamel), but things do not work out the way she hopes. A prized possession of Danny's gets stolen and all his time and energy is focused on finding it.

Meanwhile, two little girls catch Mary (Nikki Cox) off guard. Trying to cope with news that they deliver, Mary hopes that she will not have to revisit her haunting past.

Sam deals with an Elvis fan whom she hopes to entertain with the special Elvis exhibit at the Montecito that includes cars, jumpsuits and special memorabilia. When her client doesn't seem quite in the holiday spirit, she is determined to find out why.

The episode also features songs from the new Elvis Christmas CD that includes Elvis's two original Christmas albums on one CD for the first ever. Included in the episode are: White Christmas, Here Comes Santa Claus, Merry Christmas Baby, Blue Christmas, Silent Night, I'll Be Home For Christmas and Winter Wonderland. (Also see Sony BMG's Elvis Christmas e-card.)

This episode of the Las Vegas TV series is called White Christmas. It airs Friday, December 15, 2006 (9-10 PM ET/PT) on NBC. Learn more about Las Vegas on NBC.com.

A collectible Elvis CD will be attached to the cover of the December 11,2006 issue of TV GUIDE, on newsstands December 7th. Four different Elvis covers will be available, so pick your favorite or collect all four. Learn more about this special TV GUIDE promotion in a previous article on Elvis.com and on TVGuide.com.

And here's an Elvis.com exclusive posted on:

Elvis.Com Interview with Gary Scott Thompson
Creator/Executive Producer of "Las Vegas" on NBC

Q. Let's start at the beginning. For awhile, the re-release of "A Little Less Conversation" was the opening song for your show. Was that your idea?

A. Yes. I had always wanted to use an Elvis song and it happened to come along at the perfect time - it was between that remix and "Rubberneckin," but "A Little Less Conversation" was perfect for the show at the time.

Q. Are you an Elvis fan?

A. Big Elvis fan! I love all his movies and have an original poster from "Viva Las Vegas" in my "Vegas" bathroom. When I was a kid, my parents were Elvis fans and we would put an Elvis record on and dance all over the house.

Q. Did you ever see him live?

A. Once we were actually going to Las Vegas so my parents were going to get tickets for all of us. My sisters talked them into going to see someone else and I don't even remember who it was. I never got another chance. I am still mad at them about that!

Q. Has Elvis been in the show "Las Vegas" before?

A. Never. And because of the holidays, this gave us a great opportunity to do it right. It was almost like Elvis really was on the set. I wrote the scenes knowing what songs we would be using. So before each scene, we would listen to the song all the way through. It really helped the actors get a feeling for what we wanted to do. Then, on every monitor, where we usually have football and basketball playing, we had Elvis. On top of that, we had the car and jumpsuit reproductions in cases so we had Elvis everywhere.

Q. What was the response from the rest of the cast?

A. Some of them had not seen a lot of the footage we were using so they were really into it. Vanessa Marcil and Molly Sims kept staring at the monitors and commenting on how good-looking Elvis was. I even had to jokingly remind them we had a show to do so they had to stop looking at Elvis!

I subscribe to TV Guide through the mail. Needless to say, I didn't get a CD on my new TV Guide. BUMMER! I'll have to go to the store to get one. It tells about the contest and you can go online to enter at: www.tvguide.com/elvislasvegas The Grand Prize is pretty awsome!

Many Internet forums show as their first page a list of the 20-50 topics or "discussion threads" most recently posted to.

Someone wishing to keep a thread on this first page, or bring an old thread back to the top of the first page, can post "bump" as a reply.
