I know it's a little early, but it has been almost 3 years since June Carter Cash passed away. I just wanted to make a little tribute to her.

Three things June has taught me...(out of many)
1. LAUGH.. you can find humor just about anywhere you look if you look hard enough.
2. FORGIVE....even when you feel certain people don't deserve it.
3. LOVE one another. She has always found the good in people, even people you thought didn't have any good in them.
Happy Mother's Day June...You've been a great loving second mother to me and mine.

"I'm just paddling along" (trying to figure out what to do...or ....wandering around)
"I'm just trying to matter" (she always said that when she was feeling tired.)
"Ouch...she/he is just a little black cloud" (someone that was negative)
"I'm so tired, I can barely wiggle" (self explanatory)
"Here we go a goin'" (getting ready to go somewhere)
"We're just doin' the best we can."
"when you feel sad or need lifting up..you just have to shop. That's all there is to do."
"Honey, remember...everyone on the road is out to kill you" (favorite saying while driving)
"I'm so thirsty..I need a piece of water."
"Here baby...a piece of money always makes you feel better."
"I'm just busted down" (worn out or feeling bad)
"I'll just put this little dude right here" ("little dude" was her saying for every inanimate
object....a flower,her purse, a picture, EVERYTHING and anything)
"Honey, it's not a good Daddy day" (if dad was in a bad mood or grumpy)
"Here we go just a laughin'" (if something negative was going on)
"You look sad.. come in my bathroom, lay down on my chaise, put your feet up, and let's talk about it" (her bathroom is as big as my bedroom, and her comfort zone)
"my shoulders are lonely...let's go in here so you can use one" (when she felt I needed to talk)
"Let's go shopping...you get a cart, and I get a cart. If it isn't full, you aren't finished"
God bless her. I really miss her. Today it's been a week since her service.

I was soo shocked when I heard she had passed, it seemed like they had just released "HURT", and she seemed fine. Miss her and Johnny.

She was very talented, very funny, very cool. Check out her cd "Press On" that was released a few years back, I love it! She wasn't the best singer, but I love her voice and she was a h.ell of a storyteller!
