A liberated Lisa Marie Presley readies her third record
With the recent merger of Capitol and Virgin Records, one artist that won't be joining the new roster is Lisa Marie Presley. ''Capitol just folded, but I got out right before,'' she told us at the Clive Davis party, where she came as Pink's date. ''I'm free and it's a nice feeling.'' Label or not, Presley is preparing to start on her third album next month and has been writing with husband Michael Lockwood, who produced her last effort, 2005's Now What? But there's no timetable yet, she says. I AM SO HAPPY FOR LISA!!!!!! Capitol NEVER appreciated the great talent they had in her! Now that she is pulling the strings I bet the third album will be even better than the first two which is saying a TON because the first two were AMAZING!!!! She is going to have even more creative control over her next album! YAYYYYYYYYY LISAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

big corporations like Capitol are only interested in what's marketable, sadly Lisa wasn't a marketable, Top 10 artist like they would of hoped. thats why they didn't promte her second album at all. so its a good thing that she's not with them anymore.

yes! So happy for Lisa. I know how badly she wanted out of that **** contract. I think she will be refreshed and it's nice to know that she is taking her time with this one. I think this album will surpass the first two, both in terms of lyrical genius and passion from Lisa.

Capitol did nothing for LMp in respect to any PR or promotion - they tried to blame that on her management.
Perhaps she will finally find a label that will suit HER needs instead of her trying to suit THEIR needs. In Lisa I trust! |
