When I went to the Elvis Fan Club President's Luncheon earlier this year the theme of the event was honoring Elvis being named by the Jaycee's as one of the Ten Most Outstanding Young Men in America. Yes, there is a picture of Elvis shaking hands with Bush senior. But this man is intelligent and did a good job for his country, which is my own personal opinion.
Before the last election Lisa said in one of her letters or the chat, that she thinks a lot of things are going wrong in the US and she doesn't like that and it should be changed, but she did not say any names. I think it was the chat, someone asked if she votes too. She said how important it was to go vote. It sounded like she doesn't like the fact that there is no longer "real freedom" in the US.

It doesn't matter if she voted for him or not. Just because you can't agree politically with someone doesn't mean you have to be rude. I am glad she is welcoming him to Graceland. Why does this matter so much that she may or may not have voted for him. So she isn't supposed to have manners. Whoever mentioned manners I agree with totally. I also agree with Syd you don't have to agree with every **** thing a person does to meet them. I EVEN have friends I disagree with on a lot of things. Let them come to Graceland.I am sure Lisa has her reasons for welcoming him.

This is just my opinion, I am guessing the Japanese Prime Minister advised the President's staff that he wanted to visit Graceland, I am sure he is aware of Lisa's love of Japan. No doubt George and Laura wanted to be part of this! Great photo op!! Lisa is very gracious and Graceland is a historical site, I do not blame or fault her at all for hosting them. But I know that in a chat or interview Lisa said she helped inspire Pink's "Dear Mr President" She felt Pink wrote it after a conversation they had had, she said she kept asking Pink to sing it for her. My guess is she won't have Pink over that night, but she would probably like to!!

no she didnt say exactly who she voted for. but she did do a chat around the time of the election, and she was briefly discussing it with those of us that were on then. i think it may have been one of the live chats that didnt work properly (which wouldnt differentiate it from any other chat we've had, i know haha).

I think a big deal is being made of this thing.I have never heard Lisa say anything about her views of the president,and is one of the reasons I admire her.She has enough since to keep her mouth shut on these issue's,unlike alot of artist out there.I think it is very nice of Lisa & Priscilla to greet the Prime Minister,President & First Lady!!!

maybe LISA should have "Dear Mr. Pres" playin in the backround in Graceland when he is there...
