Here is an article that appalled me. I mean girls see these pictures and think wow I want to look like that. It's part of our society to be airbrushed but this is too much. I know some of you may or may not be Ashlee simpson fans, BUT this is ridiculous. What they did to her. And the fact that She DID NOT pose for the magazine. They stole old photoshoot photos and doctored them. How pathetic. Nor did she ever coroporate with them to do any interview. Very sad. Here is the article.

I agree Jac .... I LIKE REAL! but more and more people try to hide who they really are because of "perceived" "flaws" .... I say F UCK IT .. fine/laugh lines, the odd blemish or dark circle gives someone character. If I have a cellulite mark on my a ss it is not the end of the world - OH WELL! I am still a good person with character ~ not some plastic, generic drone walking around in a wanna-be hollywood coke haze ...

These mag's make all the women look like wax figures of someone else .... It is BRUTAL and SAD that a young girl would strive for this unrealistic ideal of beauty that is so OBVIOUS ... brought to you by: "THE MINDLESS HERD"

What ever happened to being unique? or having a real personality packaged by the vehicle you were born with? hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... too much on the shallow, I have an IQ of 67, side of life .. BOO! The whole thing is based in FEAR - that's all. It is harder to stand up for yourself and be who you are and PROUD of it then it is to blend into the GENERIC HERD ....well "they" can take the road ALWAYS travelled ... well said Mojo and I think Ashlee Simpson is a gorgeous girl. Whether or not one thinks she has any musical or acting talent doesn't matter in this situation . She is regardless of that a very beautiful girl as well as her sister. To see a magazine take an OLD photo of hers from a previous photoshoot and airbrush it so she looks like a manniquen creeps me out. It is rather appalling when magazines are so desperate for a cover that they'd take old pictures and make them "new". If one doesn't want to pose for your magazine then you should let it be. Nor do I see the point of this being Ashlee said she never once corporated in an interview and from what I could tell there was no article on her either. I found the whole thing rather weird. I never even heard of this magazine. If I were Ashlee I'd be freaked out just a tad.

ummmm, what the hell??? if they hadn't said who it was, I woulda not even known!! I hope she sues or something.

I hope so too especially being she claims she never did an interview with them nor did she ever pose for them. Sick people in this world.

its pretty common knowledge that all celeb pics are airbrushed to a degree, but that was kinda bad. i mean, its a pretty picture, but u can barely tell who it is.

i see the problem with Ashlee's photo, but what was wrong with Jennifer Hudson's and Kelly Clarkson. they looked fine to me...

Yeah, mags do that all the time, put someone on the cover without even talking to them. It's like recycling old quotes to make it look like a story. If Angelina Jolie actually talked to half the press that wrote about her she wouldn't have time for her babies, her career or her activism.

With the photoshopping, yeah, it went overboard, but it's interesting to see how relatively arbitrary it is where we draw the line. Removing all imperfections isn't "real" and added to that is all the plastic surgery and makeup, so it's kind of funny in a way to say "Oh no ... it's fake." If it were real, it wouldn't be showbiz lol.
