I just saw the news...Heck I dont think she is that far...Besides her tho, there are tons being effected. It reached the beach!!! I hope everyone is safe! I cant believe they go thru that so often

A priceless collection of Elvis Presley memorabilia featuring much of his Vegas days souvenirs has been destroyed in a blaze that engulfed the famous Hodge Castle in Malibu, California this morning (SUN). The estate was owned by socialite Lily Lawrence–and fire fighters are battling the flames of a canyon brush fire that have now swept into the pricey star-studded enclave of the Malibu beachfront colony. In a nightmare scenario some multi-million dollar beach homes are actually now ablaze.

Cable news is running non-stop helicopter coverage of the out-of-control fiery furnace and reporting that such Vegas headliners and regular visitors as Pamela Anderson, Britney Spears, and Olivia Newton-John are now being asked to evacuate their homes there for their own personal safety. The Pacific Coast Highway has been closed by authorities because of the flames that have engulfed both sides of the roadway.

It's scary you guys, last time anything of this magnitude took place was in 1993. That home was beautiful, you could totally see it from PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) on the right side of the road up in the hills, now no longer. She had a LOT of priceless artifacts in there, along w/Elvis collection, she had letters from Presidents and a letter from Princess Diana.
The smell of smoke is horrid, the winds at times were over 60mph and saying not going to ease up until tomorrow, plus temperatures were up....along w/worrying about the different fires, not just Malibu burning, allergies are going berserk.

I feel so terrible for those who are being effected by this! it is SO BRUTAL! so many irreplaceable items all gone in a flash ... so sad

I am so relieved my partner & my home is on the central coast and not effected ... as I am stuck here in Canada and not able to do s hit - not like I could really do anything but still ... but who knows what is to come with the Santa Ana winds - I hope they get the fires contained and extinguished soon!!!!

God hubby just got back and he said just down the road (you know the hill behind us) well he says he couldn't breath just going that far from the smoke...so we're pretty much staying inside, rented a bunch of movies and watching to make sure fire doesn't come any closer if it does, we're outta here.
