knowing Lisa and how much love she has for her dad i'm 99,9% sure that she'll do something spaciel for her dad. she may not sing live but i'm sure she has something she's working on........

It 's not a matter of getting over it, with me anyway. I don't see anything wrong with wanting to hear her sing some of his later songs (the ones she said she like "Just Pretend" In the Guetto" etc.. for example) and for the record, I don't EXPECT her to do or sing anything she doesn't want to do. Maybe some of you are referring to other people, but since i was the one who posted about her doing this, I don't need to get over anything

I hope Lisa still continues to appear at the "Big Events" Elvis Presley In Concert on the anniversaries. I hope Lisa continues doing what she has been doing giving us a very wonderful and meaningful tribute to her father. I DO NOT WANT TO HEAR HER SING ANY OF HER FATHERS SONGS for us at these events. This would be a BIG MISTAKE, she is her own person. She should stay true to herself. She will be judged, convicted and bashed to kingdom come and back again. I loved the tribute video that she did "Don't Cry Daddy" that was awesome. But to sing "HIS" songs at this event would not go over well. There are people ready to tear into her why? "because". I love her music and what she stands for I love her for being true to herself. I hope Lisa does sing some of "HIS" songs someday when she is ready but not at this event. I hope she does not promote any of her music or her band at this event either. That would be a disaster. Here is the link, why they adviertised it is beyond me they never did before.

I believe I have been misunderstood. I was only saying that i would like to hear her sing some of his songs someday. I was not talking about her her singing his songs at this event. But now that i think about it, i don't see anything wrong with her singing a song of his if she wants to do that.

I think it would be very nice for Lisa to do something for her father at this concert,in person or otherwise! I think Lisa sould do whatever she is comfortable doing.I know this has to be a very hard year on Lisa,it would on anyone,but more so with her becuase of that ever present spotlight! Can you imagine if Elvis were still around and him and Lisa sang ''Turbulence'' together? That would f'n rock - lol just a thought. I think maybe instead of singing one of her fathers songs maybe she could do something like ''Nobody Noticed It'' live. One of her own but at the same time its about him.

I agree! I think Lisa will do something to honor her father. I totally respect Lisa's position she wants to make her own mark on the music industry and she has done an incredible job so far and I'm sure she has alot more to share with us. Lisa is extremly talented and I so glad that she shares her music with us.

I pray she comes to Memphis!!!

I can deal with her singing his songs fairly well, but even for me, it is really hard to listen without sad emotions. I don't know how she can or should even be expected to do it.

I hope it's true, but I don't believe any of it until EPE post's it officially on their Elvis week lineup or post's a news report on it.
I do think she will be there for the 30th though, just remains to be seen if she'll perform or not...I don't think she has to perform either if she doesn't want to and if she wants to be annonymous and just watch from the house, well that's fine to.

I don't see anything wrong with her singing her dad's songs, but if she doesn't want to, then big deal.. she's got her own music.
