You know when I saw the news about Clooney stopping the pappo's and scolding them, I loved it! and Now Julia. Frankly, I think that if police officers are not allow to have high speed chases then pappo's shouldn't!! Additionally I personally feel that pappo's should not be allowed to touch the person or property of the person they are looking capture on film. When Britney ran over someone's foot, TOO **** bad because lucky for them (and ME lol) that it was not ME behind the wheel!! It is disgusting the way that they crowd and take so many pictures and flash going off that I have actually heard Paris and Britney say...I can't see. That is pathetic! They are practically laying on Britney's hood of her car. Of course there are so many personalities, celebrities etc that this happens to. For God's sake look what happen to Princess Diana! and Nicole Kidman was just in court in Australia about being afraid while being chased sheesh.

Do I love seeing pictures YES, but omg to the extent that they go it is just grotesques!!

dunno it's one thing to be a personality, celebrity, polititican etc and photographs, exposure is all part of the nature of the beast but some limits should be set and followed.

LOS ANGELES (AFP) - Hollywood icon Julia Roberts angrily gave chase to a car carrying paparazzi photographers after spotting them filming her near a school, reports said Thursday.


The actress raced after the photographers in her Mercedes sports utility vehicle, blasting them with her horn and gesturing the lensmen to pull over, in footage broadcast by syndicated television show "Inside Edition."

The 40-year-old Oscar-winning star of "Pretty Woman" and "Erin Brockovich" then angrily scolds the photographers for allegedly filming her near a school, ordering them to turn off a video camera filming her.

"Turn it off," Roberts tells the photographers. "I want to talk to you about the fact that you're at a school where children go. Turn it off."

The incident is the latest flashpoint involving celebrities and members of the Los Angeles paparazzi.

Actor George Clooney last week hit out at paparazzi "bounty-hunters," accusing them of risking the safety of innocent bystanders in their pursuit of celebrity photos.

Clooney, who was also involved in a filmed altercation with photographers earlier this month, said paparazzi often broke the law while chasing their targets.

"What they're doing is illegal, it's high-speed chases and they're competing with each other," Clooney said.

"They're not trying to catch me doing something stupid; they're trying to create me doing something stupid. You don't get to break all these laws and then say, 'I'm just doing my job.'"

That says it all, in my book. Good on them. This madness has to stop, or at least make paps accountable, at the scene and in court.

Off-topic: Julia Roberts is only 40 and has accomplished so much!! I think she'll still be acting in her 80s.

It's awful, but if those pics didn't bring in so much money, it wouldn't be a problem. If we were not so obsessed with celebrity they wouldn't sell.

this is true but the statement above where Clooney said they aren't trying to catch me doing something stupid. They are trying to create me doing something stupid. No Britney Spears is a nutcase sometimes and it's not always the paparazzi that cause her stupidity, but in the case of her running those red lights and running over one of their foots this statement applies. She couldn't see with all those flashes they were right on her ***. Right on her car. She did something stupid like ran a redlight trying to get away from them. The guy deserved his foot injured if he was that close to her. I mean not only the photographers put others in danger they put themselves. I don't understand how money and greed is worth that. I honestly think a lot of the insane celebrities would be less crazy if the media weren't *******s. Then again like you said if they weren't nuts and unable to handle some of the fame then we wouldn't have our entertaiment. Though it's not entertaining to me. I feel bad for these people even the crazy ones. It's sad we're so obsessed with their lives that they have to put up with this ****. I mean it is partially "our fault" yes for buying Star and helping sell the product of celebrity and that is a shame for the people. I just hate how so many forget that the famous are people too and they have lives. Their problems they should deal with in peace without it being caught on camera.

I can't BELIEVE that when celebs complain about harrassment, the cops do nothing. I know many of the celebs actually call the rat-zies to come take pics, but others shouldn't have to put up with those psychos taking pics of their babies, and chasing after them and such, these people need to be curbed.

I think even the ones that are said to have called them to take photos, don't deserve harassment. I am sure the celebrity that calls makes a deal with them to only take certain pictures at a specific spot and time. Not to chase their cars down. I am sorry I hear that Britney does call them, but I wouldn't know for sure. I hear that she does. That is the rumor, but them being pratically ontop of her car and surrounding her is ridiculous even at that. If she DOES call them she calls them because she wants a picture taken not for them to chase her down and endanger her. Granted it would seem that one would know when calling them that they can't just take a picture and leave. They gotta take several and harass everyone. However maybe some of them genuinely think they can arrange for a picture or two and they'd just leave. Clearly they don't just leave. Any normal person gets arrested for stalking but the stalkerazzi has freedom to do whatever the **** they want. There is no law against them "stalking". It really irriates me.
