I booked my hotel a few days ago, after reading this, I got scared! Went on Priceline as usual. Doubletree see ya there. It is a Very nice hotel Solovely, I've stayed there many times.You gotta eat at the Blue Plate Cafe for breakfast it's so cute and yummy food, and right by the hotel, just a couple blocks. That is the NICE part of Memphis. You'll like it.

i'll be there!!! i used to live in memphis, so if anyone's wants any advice, please email me. i bought my ticket to the concert the minute it went on sale. i booked my hotel months ago. luckily i got a place downtown, within walking distance of the convention center and fedex arena. i'm sure lisa will be there. she was at the 25th anniversary concert. and maybe she'll even be at the meet and greet!!!

Does anyone know what the comfort inn is like because this is where I'm staying. I did try to get the Heartbreak but the group I'm going with are only allowed so many rooms each year, so I had to opt for a different hotel. It would be great if anyone knew about the comfort inn and what it is like.

Thank you solovely for giving me this link. I've just read it now and it seems like a lovely place to stay. I think I'm just disappointed because I wanted the Heartbreak because I stayed there last year, but I couldn't get it this year.

I can't wait to get there again this year. I went through the Elvis fanclub with about 73 other people and it was just fantastic. I can honestly say that it was the best time of my life going to Graceland. It's not just the house, it's the whole atmosphere, just knowing that no matter where you go, you know that there are Elvis fans everywhere - my idea of heaven.
By the way, this tour last year also included going to Tupelo for about 3 days and visiting his birthplace. This was great as well. ELVIS WILL ALWAYS BE "THE KING" |

there are still rooms at the residence inn downtown memphis. here is the link.

the doubletree hotel is about 7 miles from graceland. you definitely have to drive or take a cab or grab the graceland shuttle that stops on beale, sun studio and graceland. the doubletree hotel is a quick walk to the beale street though, but you might want to catch a cab to the convention center.
