~Mended Wings~
I saw that angel fall as she shot for the stars She lost her wings flying beyond the radars All she wanted was peace but found nothing beneath She cried, as there was nothing to bequeath She just wanted to share the joy that she had learned But she can no longer shine as she was burned As the devil had washed all her hope away It was so bad that she couldn’t even pray So up there she was left to fall As she was headed for the same pitfall Searching for that desire that couldn’t be All she wanted was to hold the key Then out of the clouds a voice came He told the angel that it’s the devil’s usual game Trying to make you think I don’t exist Because desires are hard to resist The angel reached out to the man Realizing it was the devil’s plan Trying to take her from the sky Laughing at her as she began to cry That devil met his surprise Because that man was meant to rise So he stuffed that devil back in the ground While the angel was left to fly around Written by Laura Lea aka Q Copyrighted Material 6/4/07 ____________ The 11th Commandment: I shall not post any political views that are different from the One!
