Pale sunset angel
in a grey overcoat saying evening farewells at eternity's bus stop no encumbrances, just blue-eyed goodbyes clarity and gold buttons shine (inner-workings: Great white-light-eye caresses the lawn's melting-snows crawls up the facade of the neighbour's house I see it pass I feel too priveleged thief and god all at once witnessing the slow-fast cog of day into night I watch the white-purple gash of dangling lantern light as it colours what I know) Pale sunset angel tugs the overcoat flaps shut against impending severities like cold, indigo, or maybe wanderlust I see a lock of chestnut hair striped sunset scarlet by degree and a cigarette tucked behind his ear he turns I hear engines a tangle of yellow-purple-black is tossed about in black branches he is gone. Dutch..I was watching the sun go down and in my head I was seeing daylight as a ragged angel tired of the repetition of saying goodbye every evening,sunlught basically getting on a bus for the night...lol..the "Inner workings" part was what I was really seeing, the rest was in my head.
