OMG, there goes my Creative Outlet cherry!
 The 1st piece was done for a show at a gallery in Newport, RI. The show was called Fakes & Forgeries. The idea was to take a famous piece of art & recreate it with a twist, OR to create an original in the style of a famous artist. I chose Keith Haring, and did it as a tribute to him. He's been a favorite of mine since I was in my teens. Unfortunately, Keith died in 1990, at 31, of AIDS related complications. He was an activist and advocate for children, AIDS, art, and the gay & lesbian community. May he long be remembered, celebrated & RIP. Done in acrylic, on canvas.
