Burying the dog.

Walking like a man,
hitting like a hammer,
she's a juvenile scam.
Never was a quitter,
tasty like a raindrop,
she's got the look.

I hold your sunset laden camera down by my side
like some walkie0talkie connected to some omnipotent HQ
mystically inclined to save us should I press the talk button
and snap another picture of my knee instead

us dressed in black
svelte like the avengers
I watch through my synthetic puddle of view
skateboard-shifting the earth's axis
adjusting as the dark spins deeper

you dig
then I dig
I cannot make what we're doing any cleaner in my head
holy and not criminal
I listen for yhe neighbour's voices
watch stains spread on winding sheets
I grip the mystical walkie-talkie in hopes of our impending rescue and create a portfolio of my knee and foot

I will never get the cold smell out of my gloves
the scent of black earth
roots
violets and death
empty sweetnesses worked over with the chore of eternity
it will never part from the fibers or my memory

thank God you are here

mary mary
quite contrary
how will our garden grow?

Syd you really made my day just then, you have no idea how much,the trick is, to not make it harder than it is, what I write is really quite simple, just let yourself be drawn around thru the imags like being on a roller coaster and then and I try to sew them into pretty twists along the way, so in essence the works already done , just enjoy..LOL A + for you!!Thanks for always giving me a chance.
