Ok so, I work at a sandwich shop here in New Jersey. I am a cashier and I also make the sandwiches and sometimes work can get tiresome. The people can also get crabby that come in to shop so, I wrote a poem about my work day to make you all laugh! Hope you like it! Feel free to let me know what you think! Here goes!

"Oh, Work"

I gotta wake up at 6 AM tomorrow.
That really ****s I know.
But, into the shower I will go.
I will soap myself up and get all clean and face the customers in the morning who are sometimes mean.
They will get their coffee and grin and say, "How are you?" Are you having a good day?"
"I'm fine," I'll say as I say, "Nexxttt" and look at the customer who's making coffee and who is making a huge mess. With the paper towels and mop I will go, and look at the clock-God the time is going so slow! "When will this work day be over," I ponder and think while, the nice old man who is ordering a sandwich looks over at me and gives me a wink.
Trapped in a sandwhich shop with food and drinks, the other worker is yelling from the kitchen, "This Job really stinks!"
As I sing along to the radio using the broom that's in my hand as a microphone I pretend I'm in a land far away where I am headling my own show. But, I quickly bounce back to reality when a customer yells, "Hey, can you hurry up and ring up my stuff, I really gotta go"
If I could, I'd sail to California with a rocket but for now, I just have to finish the work day at this little old market.
