IT'S HARD FOR ME TOO WRITE THIS
SINCE TIME HAS SLIPPED AWAY
IT'S BEEN FIVE YEARS SINCE YOU PASSED
AND I REALLY MISS YOU SO
I'M GROWN NOW
SINCE THE LAST TIME YOU TOUCHED MY FACE
MOM,
I KNOW I'VE LET YOU DOWN
FROM MY TROUBLES OF TODAY
BUT I DON'T WANT TO WORRY YOU
FOR WHAT I FEEL INSIDE
I KNOW YOU'LL ALWAYS BE PROUD OF ME
AND THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS I'VE MADE

Hey! That was wonderful!! I know how you feel, here's the one I wrote for my mom after she'd been gone ten years....

On This Day Ten Years Ago….

The pain of losing you hurts more than I can say,
You are ached for and sorely missed every second of every day.
You are my mother & my fathers’ wife,
You are the one that brought me into this life.

It’s been so long since from you I have been kissed,
Whenever I see your face - it always fades into the mist.
It hurts so much that you’re not here,
I often wonder which way my life would steer.

I can never to anyone fully explain,
How I feel about losing you & the pain.
But it’s not all sadness and misery,
Because you are still with me in the lilacs & cardinals in the trees.

I thank you for caring for and loving me,
I thank you for teaching me to love more than my eyes can see.
I will cry for you until there are no more tears,
But the lessons losing you have taught have taken me through the years.

As I hold my daughter and feel the indescribable love,
I know that you and Dad are smiling from up above.
Having Kaitlyn has helped me to forgive,
So that the memories I have now make me smile as I live.

On this day ten years ago,
You died and my world seemed to slow.
I hope that you still know that I love you like no other,
There is no one that will ever take the place of you, my mother.
