I watch as the rain clouds form above
Black as the pitch of night.
The lightning flashes
Creating a instance of light.

I let the rain droplets fall on me.
I close my eyes.
I let my fingers run through my hair.
I watch as the world rushes by.

Looking up
Towards the sky,
I fall on my knees
As I let out a cry.

"I can't do this, I give in".
The rain washes away my tears,
****ling my screams,
Hiding my fears.

I listen closely, hearing my own breath.
Suddenly I hear whispers through the rain.
I hear him call out
Asking for me to love him again.

His whispers surround me
Each more helpless than the last.
I cover my ears and burry my head in my chest
As images flood in from the past.

I rise to my feet,
Surrounded by a mist so thick I cannot see.
The whispers echo in the nothingness,
I hear his sobs as he cries out for me.

I run towards his voice, trying to scream his name,
No words come out, I've lost my voice.
I reach out my hand begging for his touch.
Nothing. Just the rain making my hand drip from the moist.

I burst into tears, falling to the ground.
"Whispers, please go, let me be
Take your picture from my mind, please someone help,
Have mercy, take away the darkness that lives inside of me"

I look up to find an angel before me,
She shows no emotion as she lifts me from the ground.
I realise then she was crying
Although she cried no tears and made no sound.

Her wings were broken.
Her hair hung over her, her face I could not see.
Just then she looked up, her bloodstained eyes focused on my face.
My blood ran cold. The angel was me.
