I was stuck in a storm
For which I didn’t belong
Now I am in a place
That I have desired all along

I am smiling again
Past things that weren’t right
Because my heart has landed
To feelings I no longer what to fight

We began with a unique connection
That I’ve always held dear
She has touched my heart
To feelings that are clear

Now the smile is brighter
Because she knows how I feel
A secret I have held back
But the feelings are real

Finally I have found serenity
Knowing the feelings are the same
It’s the happiest change in my life
That I want to claim

It did take us a while
But we no longer have to fear
As we both know its right
Because our time is finally here
