I somehow don't understand women who live with this type of men. Geez, they should leave them after the first punch. It's also better for children to NOT see a "daddy" like this I think. "She has no place to go to" is not an excuse. There's always somewhere to go, and actually we all have to very early start making sure we will be able to be independent in such case. Or maybe I misunderstood something in this story

Indre, this piece is about my 16 yr old. who unfortunately lives with her biological 'mother'. I want custody of her, because of things like I have written about here, unfortunately this is a re-telling of actual events, and none too much creative. Oh, Pen, how heart-breaking. I was a bit confused too; I thought the abuser was your mother and the child was your sister. The worst evil in our world, in my opinion, is child abuse because it reaches into every aspect of the victim/survivor's life and crushes and infects all of society.
 Stay strong, as I know you are, and keep being there for Jenny, as I know u will be. I have known so many survivors of abuse in every form and they are all amazing people, but they should never have had to be that strong.
